Celebrate the Summer Season with these Cocktail Recipes

Although we haven’t reached the official start of summer date, according to the temperature (and the fact that Memorial Day – the unofficial start of summer – just passed), it’s summertime, time to whip out your summer cocktail recipes. Don’t have any drink recipes to try? You’re in luck, because today we’re highlighting some delicious cocktails to celebrate the season of sun, sea, and fun from Cruzan Rum, Skinnygirl Cocktails, DeLeón Platinum Tequila, and Blackwell Jamaican Rum. Looking for a tropical rum drinks, tequila drinks with more bite, or a something crisp, we have cocktail for you.

Cruzan House Punch

2 parts Cruzan® Estate Light Rum
1 part Cruzan® 9
4 parts Pineapple Juice
2 parts Mango Juice
1 part Orange Juice
Combine all ingredients, mix well. Pour over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a fruit wedge.

Summer Slush

1 part Skinnygirl® California White Wine
1 part Cruzan® Light Rum
2 parts frozen lemonade
1 part seltzer
Crushed ice
Blend with a little crushed ice and pour into a flute glass. Top with seltzer.

Platinum Pina

1 ½ oz. DeLeón Platinum Tequila
1 oz. fresh pineapple juice
½ oz. fresh lime juice
1 dash of jalapeño syrup
Shake and strain over the rocks in a rocks glass. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño. Agave and spice is a match made in heaven, especially when paired with sweet tropical pineapple in the Platinum Piña. The experience of this modern cocktail begins with the fresh pieces of pineapple and lime, imparting a rich mouthfeel that complements the smooth agave and subtle coconut notes of the DeLeón Platinum tequila and finishes with subtle heat from the jalapeño. The result is a nuanced tropical cocktail with a kick that allows DeLeón Platinum’s delicate complexity to shine.

DeLeón Unadulterated

Pour 1 ½ oz. of DeLeón Platinum over a large, clear cube of ice
Stir seven times to thoroughly chill
Serve with a squeeze of fresh lime to complement the bright citrus notes of the tequila.

Lost Weekend

2 oz. Blackwell Jamaican Rum
1 oz. Salted Lime Cordial
1/2 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz. Absinthe
Pinch of mint
