For Roe & Co Whiskey, community isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a carefully crafted blend of people, music, and cocktails. As St. Patrick’s Day approached, Roe & Co embarked on a journey of flavor exploration with their Roe & ReCords pop-up event series. Nestled in iconic record stores across NYC, these events promised attendees a sensory experience, featuring curated sounds by the brand’s head distiller, Lora Hemy.
The inaugural event kicked off at the Superior Elevation Record Store in Brooklyn, where we were treated to a tantalizing array of delights. From mouthwatering bites to toe-tapping tunes, and, of course, a selection of Roe & Co cocktails, the evening was a celebration in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day.
For the uninitiated, Roe & Co is a contemporary blend of Irish whiskey paying homage to the esteemed whiskey-maker George Roe. With its creamy texture and fragrant aroma, this whiskey boasts a harmonious balance of soft spice, spun sugar, and hints of vanilla. Each sip tells a story, evoking memories of the old pear tree that once graced the grounds of the Roe family distillery.
Throughout the evening, guests embarked on a flavor journey, guided by Head Distiller Lora Hemy herself. From the sweetness of the Roespresso Martini, the sourness of the Roe Smash, the salty profile of the Roe Jungle Bird, the Umami flavor of the Roe Highball, to the bitterness of the Roe Boulevardier, each cocktail showcased the versatility and complexity of Roe & Co whiskey. Meanwhile, DJ Nina Tarr provided the perfect soundtrack, setting the mood for an unforgettable evening of indulgence and exploration.
As the night unfolded, conversations flowed, records spun, and glasses clinked in celebration. Whether reveling in the warmth of familiar flavors or discovering new favorites, attendees were united by a shared appreciation for quality craftsmanship and the joy of community.
In the end, Roe & ReCords was more than just an event—it was a testament to the power of connection, creativity, and the pursuit of excellence. As guests bid farewell to the night, they carried with them the memories of an unforgettable experience and a newfound appreciation for the art of whiskey-making and the magic of shared moments.
