Fall Fashion Finds from the GUESS & MARCIANO 2014 Collections

The weather’s getting cooler and it’s time once again to fill our closets with fall-approved layering pieces, lightweight sweaters and jackets, great basics, and standouts. Thankfully GUESS and MARCIANO are here to supply you with your fall essentials while keeping your style far from mundane. We see how sweet life in denim is for fall and how a little (or a lot) of fringe can add excitement to your look. Check out what the sister labels has in store for the cool season.

GUESS

This fall, GUESS brings you a collection with effortlessly-cool vibe and a neutral palette. Denim jackets and jeans are featured in classic silhouettes, embellished with hardware, fringe, western-inspired embroidery, tribal-printed, moto styles, and with distressed details. Inspired by vintage Americana influences, the collection is teaming with worn-in denim overalls and jeans, bold leather jackets and coated denim for a sexy, yet edgy collection. Standout pieces include western-inspired button down shirts, a very sexy lace-up denim, fringe jackets and booties.

MARCIANO

For those looking to add alluring pieces to your fall wardrobe, look no further than the glam and sultry fall fashion offerings from MARCIANO. Get ready for bold color, vibrant prints, sophisticated silhouettes, bewitching looks for after dark and stylish retro looks. While fringe took on a more casual look for GUESS, for MARCIANO, it was all glam. The layered 70’s embellishment turns a classic halter dress into a seductive gown, a tunic into a provocative sheath, and a jacket into a chic layering piece. We are head over heels in love with the faux fur jackets – from the statement faux leather jacket with fur sleeves, the plush white vest, and the beyond stunning, multi-hued, faux fur with thick chain detail, we are in love, love, love.

For both labels, accessories are wonderfully brazen. Jewelry is bold and chunky (no wallflowers here), shoes and handbags boast lots of hardware details from chains, to buckles and metal plates – all the better to keep eyes on you.

Now that you’ve seen what GUESS and MARCIANO has for fall, any favorite looks or trends? We’re really looking forward to all the fringe.

YOU’RE INVITED: Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR’s Dedication of The AIDS Memorial Quilt

In 1987, Cleve Jones and friends came up with the idea for a memorial in memory of those who had died of AIDS so they will not be forgotten. This memorial is known as The AIDS Memorial Quilt. Twenty-seven years later and this extraordinary memorial, which includes more than 48,000 panels from every US State and over 28 countries, continues to be an uncommon and uplifting dedication to those who have lost their lives to AIDS. Now for the first time in nearly two decades, New York City will host The AIDS Memorial Quilt, with a display on Governor’s Island, thanks to Kiehl’s.

You are invited to join the riders of Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR at the open-to-the-public dedication of The AIDS Memorial Quilt on Monday, August 11th at 4:30 pm hosted by The NAMES Project Foundation CEO, Julie Rhoad. The event will feature a special Unfolding Ceremony and Reading of Names. The event also invites you to volunteer your time if you want to get involved at the dedication; please contact The NAMES Project Foundation at (404)688-5500 ext. 224 or volunteer@aidsquilt.org.

For those of who who can’t make it to this event on August 11th, The Quilt will still be on display on Tuesday, August 12th from 10am – 4pm.
