Sauza Tequila Toasts to National Margarita Day

There’s no doubt about it, Mondays suck, but every once in a while Mondays can prove to be the best day of the week. Take for instance this Monday, February 22nd, you may think it’s a typical day but it’s National Margarita Day!!  There’s much to celebrate on this day that honors the most popular cocktail to order in a pitcher (a survey conducted by Sauza Tequila revealed margaritas are the most popular at 80%, followed by daiquiris at 53% and sangria at 49%. So put away your Monday blues and get ready for some cocktail fun. We and Sauza Tequila are here to get you started with a few delicious Margarita recipes. Whether you’re in the mood for a Sauza Classic Margarita, or looking for something that’s a twist on the original, like a Perfect Pear Margarita or a Sauza Citrus Margarita, we’ve got you covered.

Sauza Classic Margarita (Serves 8)

Sauza Classic Margarita
1 ½ cups Sauza® Signature Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
1 cup lime juice
½ cup DeKuyper® Triple Sec Liqueur
½ cup simple syrup
Salt for rimming
Lime wheels for garnish
Add ingredients to pitcher and stir. Pour over ice into margarita glasses. Garnish each with a lime wheel on the rim and serve. Salt rim is optional.

Perfect Pear Margarita (Serves 8)

Perfect Pear Margarita
2 cups Sauza® Signature Blue Silver Tequila
1 cup simple syrup
½ cup lime
½ cup lemon
2 peeled pears for garnish
8 rosemary sprigs for garnish
Add ingredients to a pitcher and stir. Pour over ice into margarita glasses. Garnish each with a pear slice and rosemary sprig.

Sauza Citrus Margarita (Serves 8)

Sauza Citrus Margarita
1 cup Sauza® Gold Tequila
½ cup DeKuyper® Triple Sec Liqueur
2 cups orange juice
2 cups lime juice
2 cups agave nectar
Sugar for rimming
Orange wheels for garnish
Add all ingredients to a pitcher and stir. Pour over ice into glasses rimmed with sugar. Float an orange wheel in each.

We’re not sure which of these three Sauza Tequila Margarita cocktails we’ll try first but we know we will be raising a glass or two to National Margarita Day. Will you be making your Monday better by celebrating National Margarita Day?
