Perfect Holiday Gifting with Patron Tequila 1-Liter Limited Edition Bottle

Do you know what is one of the most-gifted spirits during the holidays? It’s Patron tequila of course! And this year, Patron, one of the most-recognized and respected luxury spirits brands, has once again introduced a limited edition one-liter bottle. Perfect for holiday gifting, the Patron Tequila 1-Liter Limited Edition bottle, third in a series of collectible, large-size bottle designs, is inspired by Mexico’s tradition of vibrant ceramic and textile folk art. If you want to perfect the art of gift giving and holiday entertaining, gift your favorite person the Patron Tequila 1-Liter Limited Edition bottle. Give the gift that keeps on giving with 33% more Patron tequila from the 1-Liter bottle.

The brightly colored pewter bottle label on this year’s special edition release features Patron’s iconic bee design and depicts elements of Patron’s meticulous production process. It boasts renderings of the native Weber Blue Agave from which Patron is created, the razor-sharp ax used to chop the harvested agave, and the traditional “tahona” stone which crushes the cooked agave to begin the fermentation and distillation process. The Patron Tequila 1-Liter Limited Edition bottle is topped with an intricately designed metallic stopper, mirroring the detailed aesthetic of the label, and is packaged in a beautiful green gift bag, reminiscent of Patron Silver’s signature box.

“Patron is always one of the most-gifted spirits during the holidays and our limited-edition large size bottle has become something that people look forward to every year, both as a gift for someone special, and for holiday entertaining,” said Lee Applbaum, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Patron Spirits. “The distinctive label design of this year’s bottle – influenced by our rich Mexican tradition of crafting artisanal tequila – offers a truly unique gifting option for those who enjoy and appreciate high-quality luxury spirits.”

Patron has you covered when it comes to perfect holiday cocktails. This season, try the Daylight Saver (made with Patrón Silver tequila, Patron Citrónge Orange liqueur, Lillet Blanc, fresh lime, and a touch of absinthe) or the tart and refreshing Cranberry Cooler (combining Patrón Silver tequila, Patrón Citrónge Lime liqueur, cranberry juice, and club soda).

The Patron Tequila 1-Liter Limited Edition bottle is available at fine spirits and liquor retailers across the country for a steal at $59.99.

Coralina Margarita Crowned Patron Tequila’s 2017 Margarita of the Year!

It seems so long ago that we shared the amazing event that was the Patrón Tequila 2017 Margarita of the Year event and competition. Seven bartenders from around the world battled it out with their take on a modern margarita, check out our Exclusive Patron Margaritas for International Margarita Day coverage. After enjoying all of their creations, guests voted for their favorites and left the final decisions to the illustrious judges. Well, the votes have been tallied and a decision has been made. After a long deliberation (the event was two months ago), Patron Tequila finally has their 2017 Margarita of the Year winner. And the winner is……. the Coralina Margarita, created by Mexico City bartender Riesler Morales.

Razorfish – Patron

1.75 oz Patrón Reposado
.75 oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
.75 oz Simple syrup
1 oz Fresh lime juice
.5 oz Red Wine (Mexican, or other)
+ Sugar-salt rim*
Combine Patrón Reposado, Patrón Citrónge Orange, simple syrup and lime juice in a shaker tin; add ice and shake vigorously. Strain mixture into a chilled cocktail coupe rimmed with sugar-salt rim.* Carefully float red wine on the surface of the cocktail and garnish with a lime wheel.

*Sugar-salt rim:
Pulverize .25 cup dried hibiscus (that’s a flower for those not in the know) in a spice grinder. Add in a .25 cup of sugar and a .25 cup kosher salt, then pulse the mixture until combined.

Riesler wanted to craft a cocktail that had the simplicity and elegance of a classic Margarita, but with the interesting and unexpected ingredients that marry so nicely with Patrón tequila (check out the man in action in the photo above). The Coralina Margarita was inspired by an ocean sunset (that’s easy to see with its dual colors that mirror the sky at sundown), combining the oaky notes of Patrón Reposado, perfectly balanced with the citrusy flavors of Patrón Citrónge Orange, together with red wine and hibiscus.

Cocktail lovers, you’ll definitely want to try this winning cocktail. You should definitely check out the recipe above. This margarita was a favorite, definitely in our top five. We want to know, is this the winner you predicted? Share your thoughts on the Patrón Tequila 2017 Margarita of the Year winner with us.

Recap: Patron Tequila Margaritas Custom Crafted by International Bartenders

To say we had a great time celebrating International Margarita Day with Patron Tequila is an understatement. Before we had a fantastic time honoring the day, we gave you guys a sneak peek at seven never before seen margarita recipes from across the globe, all of which we had the pleasure of enjoying at the Patron Tequila Margaritas celebration. The evening was nothing short of amazing, with a night full of spectacular cocktails, great music, and amazing eats.

Surrounded by all things Patron, including the very stylish ponchos worn by staff members (we so want one), we had the very difficult task of voting for our favorite Patron Tequila Margarita out of the seven amazing cocktails that were on-hand to indulge in. If you read our previous post which is linked at the beginning of this post, you note the margarita nominees for 2017’s Margarita of the Year were the creations of the following mixologists: Shaun Gordon of Truman Tavern, Hemant Pathak of Junoon, Mindy Kucan of Oregon, Alexander Kady of Denver, Reisler Morales of Mexico City, Sophie Bratt of England, and Max Greco of Australia. Our plan of attack was to just head down the line of stations and enjoy the margaritas one after the other.

Along with these amazing drinks, we indulged in the seven Patron Tequila Margaritas in popsicle form, thanks to Popbar and their handcrafted treat on a stick. All of the seven margaritas were perfectly duplicated in this delicious frozen treat.

As if the seven exclusive margaritas weren’t enough, we also had the opportunity to create our own, using our own choice of fresh fruit and other ingredients to our very own signature margarita using the onsite Patron Produce Market and available Bar Chefs. We’re not on the sam level as the above creative mixologists, but we think ours turned out pretty damn delicious.

Another treat for us was the introduction to what will surely be a huge hit with cocktail aficionados, Cocktail Courier, who delivers the world’s best cocktails, right to your door.

We ended the evening quite sated and happy and especially loved getting to take home a personalized Patron Tequila Hand Squeeze Juicer. For more photos from the event, check out our slideshow below:

Celebrating National Tequila Day with Patron Tequila

Once a year we get to honor tequila, the distilled libation made from the blue agave plant. Normally, we’d honor the day by enjoying a quiet day at home with a tequila cocktail or two. This year, we did something different. We had the amazing pleasure of celebrating National Tequila Day with Patron, surrounded by non-stop tequila goodness all around.

Patron_National_Tequila_Day_Event_Great_Britain_Bar_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com Patron_National_Tequila_Day_Event_Mexico_Bar_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

With multiple Patron Tequila bars that represented cocktails from Mexico, Great Britain, Cuba, and much more, we knew we were in for fiesta of a lifetime spending National Tequila Day with Patron. We spent the day enjoying many tequila infused delights, including learning how to muddle our own cocktails at the Cuba bar. Our reward was a delicious cocktail and a personalized Patron muddler.

Next, we took a 360-degree, 3-D, virtual reality tour of the Patron Tequila process, products, and people at the Hacienda Patron in Atotonilco, Mexico. Stopping for a Patron Oyster shot in between activities.

In between cocktails, we took a meal break to enjoy some of the delicious fare provided by Creative Edge, which included a yummy crepe bar. we had our choice of creating a sweet, or savory crepe to pair with our Patron cocktail

The festivities continued at the National Tequila Day with Patron event with our next cocktail experience, which was to create our own Patron Bloody Maria cocktail. We selected our choice of either Patron Silver, Anejo, or Reposado tequila, Bloody Mary Mariachi-Mix, or Spicy Bloody Mary, and then topped it off with either shrimp, crab legs, bacon, an assortment of vegetables, etc. We decided on Patron Reposado with the Spicy Bloody Mary Mix and garnished it with jumbo shrimp and bacon……yum!!

To cleanse our palate and because it was a very hot day, we jumped at the chance to cool down with one of the three Patron Pops courtesy of King of Pops (Mojito, Pina Colada, and Sangria), and one of the four Patron Ice Cream flavors created by Tipsy Scoop (Jalisco Mule, Strawberry Sangria, Silver Mojito, and White Russian).

After we cooled down, we kept the National Tequila Day with Patron party going with our go-to tequila cocktail – the mule. We started with the WTRMLN Mule, which came in a beautiful copper Patron cup, and moved on to the Jalisco Mule, housed in a stunning silver cup.

As you can imagine, we were beginning to feel the effects of this never-ending flow of Patron tequila, so we had to stop by the Bagel bar to fill up on some delicious carbs.

Overall, Patron blew us away with their National Tequila Day with Patron event. There was so much to enjoy, beyond just enjoying a few cocktails. Aside from all we’ve mentioned, guests had a blast rocking to music from DJ PS1, and getting caricatures of themselves to commemorate the event.
