Wrinkle-Free Clothes On-the-Go: JOY Go Mini Steamer with Storage Bag

If you’re like us, ironing is not your favorite thing to do. You may find most people hate ironing. We’ve always found steaming our clothes to be a quicker and much more efficient way to get those wrinkles out. Plus there is no way you’ll ever accidentally burn your clothes with a steamer, something we’re guilty of with an iron. But all steamers are not the same, we’ll show you why. There are some that leak, some with a subpar flow of steam, and the ones that burn you. The wonderful steamer we’re highlighting today has none of those issues.  In fact, the JOY Go Mini Steamer by Joy Mangano is the best mini steamers we’ve tried in a very long time.

This powerful little steamer is lightweight, and perfect for traveling. It is a must for college students going back to school. The 900-watt little steamer makes it easy to remove wrinkles from your shirts, slacks, and dresses whether you’re at home, school, or a hotel room. It features a triangle head that makes targeting wrinkles easier and more precise. Its unique shape also prevents tipping and spillage, therefore makes using it virtually fool-proof. With ordinary tap water, the JOY Go Mini Steamer produces steam within 2-3 minutes. We love the water-level view window because it shows you just how much water you have left. Check out the JOY Go Mini Steamer in action in the video below:

Storage of the JOY Go Mini Steamer is easy thanks to the included zippered bag. It’s great for storing away your mini steamer in your closet, car, or suitcase. Available in a variety of eight colors, you can even color coordinate your mini steamer with your decor. Get it in Black, Bright Teal, Fuchsia, Linen, Purple, Red, Sapphire, or White for only $19.95 on

Are you ready to give up your iron for the more efficient steamer?

It is the season of festivals and festival fashion, so what better time to highlight the upcoming music-inspired women’s fashion and accessory collection from HSN. Lyric Culture is celebrating Woodstock with a multi-designer collection featuring items from Diane Gilman, Carlos Falchi, Jay King, Minnetonka, and Lyric Culture, all of which will be available this month on HSN.

There is so much to love from this collaboration. The collection boasts what you’d expect from a music festival-inspired looks, fringe, graphic prints, tie dye, maxi skirts and dresses, and distressed jeans. We love the above Lyric Culture Fringe T-Shirts ($59.50) and Tanks ($39.50), most of which bear famous song lyrics (our fav is the Jimi Hendrix tee), as well as the vibrantly printed Diane Gilman Piano Shawls ($69.90), and Falchi Fringe Jacket ($298.00). We can visualize many bohemian beauties going crazy for a pair of the Diane Gilman Classic Skinny Jeans with distressing and lyrics patches ($79.90) or the Superstretch Buttonfly Bellbottoms ($59.90).

The Falchi Fringe Star Crossbody ($149.90), and Woodstock Ticket Wallet/Phone case ($49.90) are must-haves for any style fiend, the assorted jewelry from Jay King: Necklace ($229.90), Beaded Bracelet ($129.90), Earrings ($49.90), and Orange Coral Ring ($99.90) will make any heart flutter, and you can’t be festival ready without the perfect feather headband, like the Lyric Culture Feather Headband ($19.90), a faux-suede, braided strand with feathers, and peace signs, we’d totally rock as a necklace.

Last but certainly not least, top off your look with these festival-approved 3-Layer Fringe Boots ($93.95), Double Fringe Side Zip Boots ($59.96), Kilty loafer Moccasins ($42.95) from Minnetonka, and Round Metal Sunglasses ($24.90) from Lyric Culture (another favorite of ours).

HBO & HSN Launch Forsaken Beauty Collection Inspired by True Blood

Do you find yourself wishing you has lips as tempting as Jessica’s or eyes as sultry as Pam’s from True Blood? Want to release your inner vampire? Well thanks to HBO and HSN, now you can. Introducing the Forsaken Beauty Collection, a unique collection of beauty products inspired by HBO’s Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning hit series True Blood. The one-of-a-kind luxury collection includes the Forsaken signature fragrance created by Givaudan; beauty products from Deborah Lippmann and home fragrance products, which includes luxury candles and diffusers with the Forsaken scent, from D.L. & Company. Kristin Bauer van Straten, who plays Pam de Beaufort, was on hand with world-renowned celebrity manicurist, Deborah Lippmann to help HBO and HSN celebrate this unique launch.

Forsaken will be available in an Eau de Parfum, a body cream and shimmering body veil powder. The fragrance is evocative of the dark and seductive world of True Blood, capturing the soul of the show. Forsaken was developed with an addictive blend of light and dark notes. Pulpy fruits paired with crisp pear notes are followed by mid notes of night blooming jasmine, also fittingly known as Queen of the Night. The scent closes with the dark muskiness of amber and patchouli. Ultra feminine, yet sultry, the fragrance will cast a spell on everyone.

The Forsaken fragrance will be incorporated into a nail lacquer titled “Let It Bleed” and is part of a combination set with a coordinating lipstick – Lippmann’s first ever — called “Bite Me”. Lippmann also created two additional sets for the collection: “Sookie Sookie” featuring full-size “Human Nature”, “Fairydust” and “Bad Things”; and a trio of minis including “Strange Love”, “New Flesh” and “Bad Blood”.

The Forsaken Beauty Collection will launch exclusively on HSN, and via HSN mobile beginning on August 9, 2012. The collection will be available at the HBO Shop in September and will follow with worldwide distribution at specialty retailers late 2012. Check out a few more images from the event below:

Robert Verdi (Finally!!) Launches Sunglass Collection

If you’re familiar with Style Expert and Celeb Stylist, Robert Verdi (Full Frontal Fashion, Fashion Police, She’s Got the Look, The Robert Verdi Show), then you’ve no doubt seen a pair of sunglasses perfectly perched upon his head – his trademark look. Funny thing is, I don’t remember ever seeing him without a pair on which is why I’m not surprised to hear that he’s launching an Sunglass collection exclusively with HSN – I’m actually shocked he didn’t do this years ago. Check out a few styles below

The 35-piece collection features aviators, retro, wayfarers, oval-shaped, round-shaped, over-sized, etc. Robert will be appearing on HSN starting tomorrow, February 22nd and 23rd as well as March 21-22. I had a chance to pick Robert Verdi’s brain and gain a little insight into his collection. Check out my brief interview below:

Did you design the collection with a particular person (yourself) or inspiration in mind?

I designed them for the HSN customer and infused powerful personality and iconic looks in the frames, so that every woman can feel like a movie star in my glasses. I want women to be able to have multiple pairs of my HSN sunglasses for different moments in their life. Sunglasses are a great way to set your mood, and are the most powerful accessory to add a personality to your outfit. I did name the glasses after fabulous women in my life including fashion editors at major magazines, actresses I dress on the red carpet, famous comediennes, cartoonists, makeup artists, mothers and more – all amazing women with different personalities and styles.

What styles do you recommend for the different face shapes?

So whatever your face shape is, you should wear a complimentary frame that has the opposite qualities. So if your face is very angular, you wear a soft shaped frame. If you have a soft round face, wear a very angular frame. If you have a square face, an oval or cat eye shape is great. If you have an oblong face, you can wear a round or square looks great. If you have a round face, wear wider with angular shapes. For an oval face like mine, any frame works. if you have a diamond shaped face with a wider cheekbone, narrow forehead and narrow chin, an oval is great or even a rimless frame look good. That said, I designed my collection for HSN with lots of bright colors, shapes and even patterns at a price point where you can have fun and bend the rules- get multiple pairs and pick some outside your typical comfort zone. They are all under $30 so, you can get a great pair you love for your face, a hip clear frame for spring, a great metal frame for the beach and a dramatic pair for going out on the town!

Will there be a specialty collection for the larger face shapes?

There are already shapes in the collection that are great for larger face shapes including The Allison and The Sasha (pictured below)

As a person known for always sporting sunglasses, what eyewear trends do you love or hate?

I love the new matte plastics, and brushed metals. They look really fresh and new. I love gradient lenses and I love the hombre frames that go from one color at the top of the frames to a different color at the bottom of the frame (not on the lens, on the frame itself).

What made you finally decide to create your eyewear collection?

I wanted an outlet where I can really reach a lot of women, and HSN offered the perfect opportunity for that.

The entire collection is available and can e purchased starting today on

HSN launches The Help-Inspired Collections w/ Lela Rose, RJ Graziano & Cynthia Rowley

One of my favorite books and the summer movie I’m most looking forward to is Katheryn Stocket’s The Help, a provocative and inspiring look at what happens when a southern town’s unspoken code of rules and behavior is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship. In fact, I had the pleasure of interviewing Jessica Chastain who plays Celia Foote on a recent red carpet appearance and I asked her about working on this movie. Well, thanks to HSN and three leading designers – Lela Rose, RJ Graziano and Cynthia Rowley – we will soon have access to clothing and accessories influenced by the film’s sixties theme. Inspired by the movie’s charming southern flare, HSN is launching retro accessories with all three designers including floral patterned flats, jeweled brooches, feminine pearls and patent leather purses that will all be available in August.

RJ Graziano updates the classic pearl necklace and earrings with a chic modern twist

Cynthia Rowley created standout accessories like the “Helena” Patent Leather Flap Bag and duo stacked Resin Bangle Bracelet Set featured below that are sure to delight any woman

Lela Rose created a line of floral skirts, a-line dresses, fur shrugs and long evening coats that enliven’s the femininity of the 60’s Southern woman’s ladylike demeanor.

You can shop the collection online August 1st and see all the products available on-air August 5th – 6th. The Help hits theaters August 10th.
