Much like the twisted metal, stacked beams and curved stones seen in his sculptures, Lela Rose’s collection featured geometric and digital prints, angular stripes, and colorful graphic fabrics to “effortlessly balance geometry with a natural fluidity”. Her color palette included grays, rust, amber, dark bronze, white, black, and white silver. Favorite looks include the very chic cable-stayed plaid side pleated dress (2nd image), the gorgeous two-toned gray double-faced graveled cool coat (3rd image) and the ivory silk cloque dress with twisted metal embroidered shoulders (4th image). As with all her collections, it’s no surprise why Lela Rose has such a huge following.
Classic, sophisticated and feminine chic are synonymous with the name Lela Rose. So the above styles are no surprise. You can’t go wrong with Lela Rose for a darling accessory. I love the black and white geometric pattern with the red accent of the above shoes and the delicate bows featured on the above accessories.
Lace is always and will always be sexy and feminine. It is also a huge trend right now especially in shoes and accessories. The above Colette Lace Clutch and Luxe Lace Peep-toe Slingback are perfect accents for a classic shift. They both also highlight an edgy look. Staying on the Lace trend for a bit, I must highlight a favorite accessory of mine, headbands – and Brash has some adorable headbands like these below which will be added to my collection.
Can you believe the whole set is only $9.99?
My favorite collaboration so far but I always thought he watered down the runway shoes designs too much for his Payless collection but with the addition of the new Christian Siriano Gold for Payless Collection, Christian and Payless have obviously listened to his fans.
This collection features limited edition styles with more of Christian Siriano’s straight off the runway footwear designs. Its a slightly higher price point but these high fashion styles still won’t break your bank account.
I’m a fan of bigger handbags and this faux leather and fabric two-toned Brash Liv Crossbody is a great size. It also is right on trend with the color-block mixed fabrication trend happening right now. Brash also offers some great jewel colored faux suede platform pumps – this season must have shoe for sexy, long looking legs. I especially love the cobalt blue
But if you like to be more on the wild side of trends, then animal print or red hot wedges are for you ( of course these are available in the same jewel tones as above)
So run don’t walk to Payless because as we speak, BOGO (Buy One Get One 1/2 off) has began. What better way to treat yourself than to get two (or more) pairs of shoes at an even better price. Happy Shopping!!
The Nude Tulle with Ivory Polka Dot Shirred Dress (above) made the model look ethereal. I loved the dress not only because it was exquisite, but also because of its ballerina silhouette which made it uber feminine and understatedly sexy. The Optic Silk Bustier with Night Lights Organze Tiered Ball skirt (above) seemed to float down the runway because of the layering of each ruffle. The bustier was modern and contemporary while the chiffon printed polka dot skirt looked almost angelic.
The Ivory Bulb Dotted Blocked Cardigan and the Nude Tulle with Ivory Dot Full Skirt add a 1960’s collegian vibe, while the Night Lights Organza Seamed Bustier Dress was stunning with its 1950’s silhouette.
After several divine dresses came down the runway, Rose add a few key pieces that could be mixed and matched with the dresses. The Burlap Double Face Zip Front Jacket with citron lining could go with any jeans or evening pants, but paring it with the Optic Silk Bralette and Multi-colored Washed Out Floral Full skirt added richness and a bold appeal to the look. The Stripped Paint Zip Front Dress with Piping Detail had just the right splashed of paint on it to give it somewhat of an 80’s vibe, while remaining modern. That best thing about the dress was that it can fit any style personality – add bright yellow stilettos or soft gray wedges to play up the colors.
When the Periwinkle Faded Embossed Organza Drop Waist Dress came down the runway it was mesmerizing, not only because of the colour but because of the printed ombre effect. The capped sleeves, v-neckline and pinned pleats added character to this chic dress. I also love the personality of the Black and Ivory Chipped Embroidered Dress, a classic sheath pumped up with the geometric graphic print reminiscent of the burned out and broken bulbs.
Enjoy the beautiful show’s finale below

RJ Graziano updates the classic pearl necklace and earrings with a chic modern twist
Lela Rose created a line of floral skirts, a-line dresses, fur shrugs and long evening coats that enliven’s the femininity of the 60’s Southern woman’s ladylike demeanor.
You can shop the collection online August 1st and see all the products available on-air August 5th – 6th. The Help hits theaters August 10th.
I’ve already showed a peak into Isabel Toledo’s Spring/summer collection with the gorgeous Striped T-Strap Vespadrille, which I featured in my “MUST-HAVE SUMMER WEDGES” post. It addition to that gorgeous wedge, Isabel Toledo for Payless offers a matching Riviera Overnight Luxe Tote
This soft fabric tote has two sides – a woven design on one side and a nautical stripe (which matches the wedges) on the other (it also comes in black). What else does payless have in store for you this summer? How about some gorgeous shoes from Christian Siriano for Payless in an eyecatching turquoise and chocolate print with perfectly placed gold embellishments
One designer collection I’m especially excited about is Lela Rose for Payless. Her looks are feminine, soft, romantic – delicate and sweet.
I especially love the following bag from Lela Rose from Payless which basically gives you two bags in one. Believe it or not, the photos below are of the same bag. How ingenious of Payless to give you two options in one (this is seen in the Isabel Toledo for Payless collection as previously mentioned)
My LOFT card has already gotten a lot of mileage on it and some this summer…. I’ll be breaking a new record, and it looks like I’ll keep on breaking records thanks to LOFT’s Summer 2011 Collection. I also think I’m going through a floral phase because all of my favorite pieces from the LOFT’s Summer 2011 Preview had floral designs or accents.
My three top favs are below. The gorgeous pencil skirt with the bold pink flowers is of course my favorite.
Another designer that has captured my heart, not only with her collection of shoes for Payless (which in this economy, I thank god for everyday for feeding my shoe habit) but for her ultra feminine, flowy and romantic garments which I drool over every season. The brand insignia alone reveals the line in general – soft and romantic, sophisticated and demure.
There was not one piece I di not like from this collection. In fact, I can surely say I fell in love with several looks, in particular the plaid dresses. I’m not normally one for plaid but with lela Rose’s design esthetic, how can you not fall in love.
The above were just a few of the STUNNING pieces. The entire collection was filled with color, from moss green to yellow, blue, lilac, etc. A color lovers dream
I love the neckline of the blue dress and the contrasting grungy color of the belt with it. Bravo Lela Rose, Bravo. Here are a few more of the captivating looks
A flawless collection that appeals to every woman. What else can I say? They’re all gorgeous. I’m happy to say that I do have video of the show finale
