T-Mobile Launches Samsung Galaxy S II & HTC Amaze 4G

T-Mobile celebrated the launch of their next generation 4G devices – The Samsung Galaxy S™ II and HTC Amaze™ 4G on Oct. 12th with an exclusive VIP event that featured a brilliant hour long performance by The Black Keys and an awesome music set by DJ Questlove at the fabulous Espace.

The HTC Amaze™ 4G and Samsung Galaxy S™ II will be T-Mobile’s fastest smartphones and the first smartphones to take advantage of T-Mobile’s faster 4G (HSPA+ 42) network technology. The new smartphones will deliver the best experience for watching video, surfing the Web and creating and sharing content on the go. Both smartphones were made available nationwide on Oct. 12. Espace was transformed into a futuristic factory where T-Mobile Android 4G devices came to life through music, film, photography and fashion lifestyle.

The Akron, Ohio-based duo, The Black Keys – Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, whose song “I’ll Be Your Man” you may recognize as the theme to Showtime’s hit series, Hung, performed an amazing set that had party-goers moving

After the Black Keys performance, Rapper Questlove grabbed the reigns and had the crowd partying for the rest of the night as they sipped on cocktails and enjoyed wonderful and quite filling hors d’oeuvres

Who What Wear was also on site to gift guests with a free gift – among the giveaways were feather earrings (which I got), sunglasses, compact mirror, nail polish and neckties

Of course, a few celebrities came out to celebrate the launch. Celebrity guests included Emma Roberts and Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford

The Cast of PAN AM Soared at Lisa Perry for Fashion’s Night Out

My first official Fashion Night Out stop was to the very chic Lisa Perry Boutique where members of the cast of ABC’s new show, PAN AM, were set to appear. As an extra bonus of the evening, the first 50 people received the envy-worthy vintage-inspired PAN AM bag. Sadly, fate was not on my side as I found out that the first 50 people were already in line by 5:20pm although the Lisa Perry FNO event was set to start at 6pm – sadly I just missed the cutoff. Anyway, on to happier moments – upon entry, guests were greeted by two vintage PAN AM dressed flight attendants and more inside who graciously offered pretzels or peanuts

The first 50 lucky people (both men and women) headed directly to pick up their PAN AM bags as I looked on with yearn, a twinge of resentment and sadness – yes, yours truly was truly jealous. Afterwards, we all sipped some wonderful wine and enjoyed some very yummy hors d’ouevres (funny enough, that was my first actual meal of the day). I did find out this very limited quantity gorgeous bag is available for sale for $150.00 until it runs out but being a lowly blogger – it is not in my limited budget.


One very adorable thing happened at Lisa Perry’s FNO event, this very sweet older woman went up to Lisa Perry and showed her several PAN AM bags (see photo below) – actual vintage PAN AM bags

It turns out, this adorable older woman was a former PAN AM Flight Attendant (I wonder if she experienced some of the experiences shown on the show?). Anyway, she was very sweet and allowed me to take her photo. Mere moments later, Christina Ricci (who plays Maggie) and Karine Vanasse (Collette) graced the chic boutique looking quite adorable and springy in Lisa Perry

With the exception of me not getting one of those prized bags (damn you fate), the event was amazing. I had a great time, everyone was wonderful and they all looked amazing in those bold colored Lisa Perry dresses.

Ann Taylor And Natasha Bedingfield Come Together For Fashion’s Night Out

World-renowned multiplatinum singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield joins Ann Taylor to celebrate women of style and substance during Fashion’s Night Out. This amazing event will be held at the brand’s Madison Avenue flagship at 60th St (645 Madison Ave) in New York and will feature a special live performance by Natasha Bedingfield as well as two fashion shows featuring real, inspiring women across multiple generations. Local college students as well as aspiring and successful career women will model Ann Taylor’s upcoming Fall and Holiday collections.

The event, taking place from 6 to 11 p.m.on Thursday, September 8, will be in partnership with Step Up Women’s Network, a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to connecting and advancing women and girls, and will include shopping, styling, refreshments, a live DJ, and a free “Ann Loves Fashion” tank with any purchase over $100. Ann Taylor stylists will also be on-site to help clients put together chic, new fall looks.

Ann Taylor will also be celebrating Fashion’s Night Out at stores across the country. The brand’s new concept store that opened in Holiday 2010 in New York’s Flatiron district (located on Fifth Avenue and 23rd Street) will host a special styling session with a Vogue editor where the first 25 clients to pre-register will get styled by the editor in 5 looks. Clients who purchase one complete look will get their photo taken by a Vogue photographer at the event, and clients who buy all 5 looks will be entered into a Facebook contest to be reimbursed for their entire purchase. The Flatiron event will also take place from 6 to 11 p.m. and will include shopping, styling, refreshments, a live DJ, and a free “Ann Loves Fashion” tank with any purchase over $100. Kate Walsh Introduces Boyfriend Fragrance

I had the esteemed pleasure of meeting Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice Actress, Kate Walsh while she was promoting her new fragrance, Boyfriend. Two days ago I announced Solange Knowles, Selita Ebanks and Cassie would be at Sephora to celebrate the launch of Carol’s Daughter new haircare collection – Monoi Haircare. See the announcement HERE. The front and interior of the 34th Street Sephora was incredibly packed when the ladies hit the red carpet as fans scrambled to catch a glimpse of the ladies and first-hand look at the new Monoi Haircare Collection placed in stand-alone kiosks featuring photos of the Spokesbeauties. We were lucky enough to have access to inside the beauty retailer to capture the kiosks photos, but all the action was outside as the ladies  took photos in front of their Monoi Haircare Collection posters
