Who says the fashion industry doesn’t have heart? Painting the town red held new meaning as The Heart Truth once again held their New York Fashion Week kickoff Red Dress Fashion Show to fight against the #1 killer of women – Heart Disease. Walking the runway in stunning red dresses donated by some of today’s hottest designers were actresses, athletes, television personalities and heart health advocate, Cindy Parsons – all who came together to help take action in protecting women’s hearts. Along with Cindy Parsons, the red dress models included Brenda Strong, Chiquinquira Delgado, Gabby Douglas, Jamie Chung, Jillian Michaels, Kelly Osbourne, Kris, Kendall & Kylie Jenner, Minka Kelly, Nastia Liukin, Roselyn Sanchez, Savannah Guthrie, Soledad O’Brien, Toni Braxton, Torah Bright and Wendy Williams

POM Wonderful and Ami James Pop-Up Tattoo Lounge

Fashion Week wasn’t just for the fashionistas, celebs came out in full support of NY Ink’s Ami James Pop-Up Tattoo Lounge at the Empire Hotel across the street from the Lincoln Center. Ami James, famed tattoo artist and owner of the Wooster St. Social Club tattoo studio, was on hand to ink a few fans and introduce pieces from Ami’s clothing line, Ami James Ink.

Sponsored by POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice, notables like Adrienne Bailon, Julissa Bermudez, Jay Pharoah, Nigel Barker, DJ Whoo Kid, Knicks’ players Renaldo Balkman and Iman Shupert and Neon Hitch sipped NYC’s Macao’s signature Matahari drink, made with Original Pomegranate Juice.

As guests enjoyed the music from guest DJ Cory Kennedy, some of the celebs got in on the tattooing.

The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection Fashion Show

Celebrities once again came together to help raise awareness for the #1 killer of women – Heart Disease. Amazing women such as Linda Evans, Christie Brinkley, Chaka Khan, Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Nettles and others, strutted the runway at the Red Dress fashion show for The Heart Truth campaign in gorgeous red frocks from such designers as Badgley Mischka, Tadashi Shoji, Pamella Roland, Roberto Cavalli, DVF, Marchesa, etc.

Celebrating it’s tenth anniversary this year, The Red Dress Heart Truth fashion show uses the red dress as it’s national symbol for heart disease awareness among women.

Despite a couple of stumbles, the show was electric with many of the ladies dancing a having a bit of fun on the runway. One of my favorite moments from the actual show was when Debbie Phelps kissed her son and daughter as she reached the top of the runway.

During the cocktail reception, women were asked to write things that would do to support and ensure heart health on red heart shaped post-it notes which were then displayed. The message and the result were beautiful.

The Heart Truth partnered with Million Hearts, a national initiative aiming to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes by 2017.

HoodieBuddie Loves Betty White….

….and so do we. Betty White has been a favorite since her days on the Mary Tyler Moore Show in my house (my mom is a huge fan), a statement I’m sure most of you agree with. The incredibly funny icon and legend is also a fashion favorite as can be seen on Hot in Cleveland with her ever present bedazzled sweatsuits, but did you know she was a designer? That’s right, Betty White has a new limited edition line of t-shirts and HoodieBuddies™?

As you can see, HoodieBuddie Loves Betty White, but then who doesn’t. Betty is also a celebrated animal lover, so a portion of the proceeds go to the Morris Animal Foundation. Although Betty’s rockin’ limited edition hoodies were sold out faster than you can say Golden Girls, you can check out new styles from HoodieBuddie at www.hoodiebuddie.com.

Olivia Munn is Cool in VANS

Olivia Munn doesn’t put just anything on her body (sorry fur) so it was no surprise to find her wearing some very cool shoes from Vans. Spotted in West Hollywood on Tuesday, Olivia Munn looked cool and casual while wearing the VANS Suede Oxford Authentic Lo Pro in Gargoyle/True White while out and about.

The Oxford Authentic Lo Pros boast details from a classic vintage style that has been beloved by daring girls since the ’50’s available for the first time in skate shoe form. These classic styled shoes, which features VANS’s wafflegrip soles, comes in Gargoyle/True White (pictured above), Bone White/True White and Black/True White and retails for only $50.00.
