LA Event Alert: Kiehl’s LifeRide Finale: Celebrities Join Celebration for amfAR

Hello Los Angeles. I have a great event for you and it is FREE. To cap off their nine-day philanthropic motorcycle ride from Seattle to LA to raise funds and awareness for amfAR, Kiehl’s is putting on an exciting PUBLIC finale event at The Grove in Los Angeles. The free and open to the public event, held August 8th from 12-3pm, includes a celebrity ride up (celebrity riders listed below), a check presentation ceremony with Global Fundraising Chairman Sharon Stone, performances by Kelis and DJ Spinderella, an interactive photo booth with Harley-Davidson, temporary tattoo artists and more.

You’re Invited: 7th Annual Shall We Dance Benefit Gala

Time to pull out your dancing shoes ladies and gentlemen and support an amazing charity and star-studded event. On Saturday, May 11th, 2013, The Coalition for At-Risk Youth (CARRY), a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of foster youth suffering from skin disorders founded by dermatologist Dr. Pearl E. Grimes in 2005, will host its annual gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event, named “Shall We Dance” will feature an intimate evening with Motown.

This year’s event will honor four individuals who have personally touched the lives of at-risk youth – Tyler Perry, Janie Bradford, Dr. Jerome R. Porath and Laura Hunter, J.D. Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the event’s activities will flow as follows:

5:00pm – Red Carpet
6:30pm – 7:30pm – Silent Auction and Cocktail Reception
7:30pm – 12:00am – Gala Program and Entertainment

The evening’s entertainment includes legendary singer and songwriter Brenda Russell, Grammy Award winner Thelma Houston, the amazing Fernando Harkless, and the Adam “Aejay’e” Jackson Full Spectrum Band.  Tickets for this wonderful event are $295.00 and can be purchased at www.foratriskyouth.org with all proceeds benefiting CARRY.
