Haute Accessories | Kensie Jewelry Must-Haves

It is my pleasure to highlight one of my favorite jewelry labels – Kensie Jewelry (they also have some great clothing, shoes, handbags, etc). I’m long overdue to writing about Kensie because I’ve been wearing their jewelry for quite a long time. What is it about Kensie that is so amazing? Their pieces are gorgeous, on-trend (I get stopped all the time when I’m wearing jewelry), and they look special and expensive though their prices say different. For 2013, they once again are offering high fashion pieces at affordable prices.

Favorite pieces from this season include the Stone Frontal Necklaces in blue and multi-colored stones in the first photo, the modern necklaces in the second photo which reminds me of ancient Egyptian collars and the stunning bracelets with fringe.  But those are not all. While Kensie has a lot of boldly hued and eye-catching  jewelry pieces, there also is a dark side – and they are spectacular.

Statement necklaces in the dark-toned jewelry pieces include the Triangle Collar Necklace and Drama Collar Necklace (both pictured above) are gold with black stones with the Drama Necklace boasting black fringe for added rocker chic appeal. Another favorite are the classic bracelets with inspirational notes (shown above). Of course I am currently drooling over their beautiful Stone Cluster Pendants (see below) which I’ve been eyeing for quite some time actually – what do you guys think? Do you love it?
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, Kensie does some great fashions as well. If you’re not familiar with their fashions, take a brief look below at what’s coming for summer. To find out more, visit http://www.kensie.com.

Enchantment | The Deepa Gurnani Jewelry & Accessories Collection

There are times when you see beautiful pieces and it just catches your breath. You want to touch it but hesitate because for a moment you don’t believe you should. That was my reaction the very first time I set my eyes on the captivating and stunning jewelry, clutches and hair accessories from Deepa Gurnani.

With her extraordinary skillful couture beading abilities, a talent she shared with quintessential designs like Alexander McQueen, Emanuel Ungaro, Fendi, etc, Deepa collaborated with her FIT-studied, Tiffany and Bvlgari-trained jewelry designer husband, Jay Lakhani to create the collection of amazing pieces you see here. The colorful beaded and embroidered pieces are beyond striking, they are alluring with some pieces being both bold and whimsical (love the owl necklace). I find the statement necklaces very sensual and exotic – modern pieces that will certainly get you noticed.

Now anyone who knows me has most likely seen me wearing a headband – I adore them. I have been known to wear both classic colors and not so classic styles but the spectacular headbands from Deepa Gurnani will have me toss them all out and opt for her brilliantly embellished styles.

What do you think of the Deepa Gurnani Collection? Do you see a few favorite pieces that will complete your jewelry and accessory collection?

Accessorize Yourself with Nissa Jewelry

It is my pleasure to introduce you dear readers to Nissa Jewelry (if you haven’t already). I fell completely head over heels with the gorgeous pieces designed by Nissa Wegienek. Her modern shapes, architectural and art deco details really speak to me. Her collection is unique, dynamic, and sophisticated with a cool edge. Known for her unique pieces, like the signature “collar” necklaces, “back dangle” earrings, and mixed metals, the Nissa Jewelry collection is designed to be worn multiple ways.

“Hand-made in New York City using primarily recycled materials, the collection offers bold and versatile designs, taking inspiration from forgotten vintage pieces and updating them in creative, modern, unexpected, feminine ways.”

Nissa started her her collection in 2008 and today, her pieces are sold in major department stores like Henri Bendel and Neiman Marcus and has graced the necks, ears, fingers and arms of a host of celebrity fans including Brandy, Giuliana Rancic, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Zooey Deschanel, and Katherine Heigl. Although Nissa Jewelry is known for the above metals, there are quite a few pieces that feature bold color in her collection, check out the following eye-catching vibrant necklaces.

I’m going to be dreaming about these pieces for a very long time. I’ve been shopping in my head in every jewelry category on the Nissa Jewelry Website. Everyone should own a piece or two of Nissa Jewelry, whether you are drawn to animal jewelry (I love the Elephant, Lion and Owl pieces), statement necklaces and earrings, Stingray pieces (which are stunning), you’ll be very happy with your choices.

Lia Sophia Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

During the hectic season of fashion week, I took a little time to get acquainted with the newest collections from celebrity-favorite jewelry company, Lia Sophia. Creative Director and Co-Owner Elena Kiam and Red Carpet Collection Designer Dani Stahl were on hand to introduce the new collection that is sure to grace the ears, necks and arms of many a celebrity.

We were introduced to the amazing Zingara Red Carpet Collection, a collection inspired by exotic destinations so naturally it’s full of colors and intricate details. I immediately noticed the Eastern influences throughout the collection. Below are a few of my favorites pieces. My fav necklaces, featured below in order of appearance (L – R):

lia sophia Introduces “Boudika” Red Carpet Collection

lia sophia has once again captivated my heart (and that of several celebrities) with their newest Red Carpet Collection – Boudika during New York Fashion Week. Like the stunning Industrielle Collection, Dani Stahl’s Boudika Red Carpet Collection featured very architectural and modern designs that communicate strength with touches such as resin pearls, diamond crystals, blue lapis, etc to add softness. Below are a few stand out pieces that I fell in love with:

Necklaces – I love the combination of the boldness of the pieces in matte silver and gold with the white resin pearls

Cuffs – I would kill for any of these cuffs, there is just no way to like just one or two or three for that matter. Each cuff makes its own dynamic impact

Rings – I’m completely in love with the Horn Ring (shown below in Black Onyx/Red Jasper Resin and in Blue Lapis/Carnelian Resin). Its such a statement jewelry piece and an attention getter (I so wish I had one). The Arrow ring with Black Diamond Crystals is also a must have.

I was lucky enough to get a photo of Dani Stahl rocking the Pearl Cage Cuff with White resin pearls

As previously stated, several celebrities went gaga over lia sophia, infact while I was previewing the collection, Aisha Tyler stopped by to indulge in the wonderful pieces

But she wasn’t the only one (in order of appearance) – Solange Knowles (Rough Necklace with Moss Resin in Matte Gold), Whitney Port (Tier Cuff Bracelet with Smoky Crystals and White Enamel in Matte Gold), Leven Rambin (Horn Pendant Necklace with Black Diamond Crystals and Black Onyx and Red Jasper Resin in Matte Gold), Louise Roe (Horn Ring with Black Diamond Crystals and Blue Lapis and Carnelian Resin in Matte Gold) etc, made several appearance wearing one or two lia sophia pieces
