Style for Fall from Fossil and Vogue

I got the chance to cross one thing off my bucket list when I attended a Blogger event celebrating Fossil’s new Fall media campaign, personal style and Fossil’s beautiful fall fashions and accessories at Vogue’s offices.

With two racks of clothing and an array of stunning leather handbags, jewelry, watches and small accessories from the Fossil Fall 2013 Collection at our disposal, we were tasked to style a look that showcased our personal style.

This also gave me the opportunity to indulge in and drool over the Fall 2013 offerings from Fossil. Some of my favorite pieces include the Sydney Satchel, Sydney Shopper, The stunning Limited Edition Startruck Watch, the Florence Watch in Rose Gold and the Swiss Chronograph Watch. I ended up pairing a stunning gold and black brocade jacket over off-white jeans and basic tee with a boldly hued Sydney Shopper in Golden Yellow……I love how the yellow highlights the gold.

What o you guys think of the Fossil Fall 2013 Campaign and their selections? Which products are catching your eye?

How I Wear My Michael Kors Watch

I’m a huge fan of Michael Kors, both as a designer and a TV Personality/judge on Project Runway, so when I, along with 100 other influencers, were selected by Michael Kors to celebrate the release of their Paris Limited Edition Runway Watch, I jumped at the chance to participate. Now I have declared my love for rose gold several times, so discussing how I will style this watch was very easy. First a little about the beautiful Michael Kors Watch:

The dazzling chronograph, the second release in a series of destination-inspired watches (the New York Limited Edition Watch was the first), is an adaptation of the best-selling Michael Kors Runway style. The timepiece is rendered in a rose gold tone and has a sporty masculine look. In paying homage to the iconic city, the dial displays the edition number and the words “Paris” in script, while the case-back features an etched graphic of the skyline with the Eiffel Tower at its center. Additionally, the dial is embellished with a 2.5 mm diamond at the number-12 index, adding a sense of jet-set glamour to the iconic style.

“Paris has always had—and will always have—a special place in my heart. I have nothing but fond memories of working there over a decade ago, and last year we opened one of our biggest Michael Kors flagships on Rue Saint Honoré,” says Kors. “And of course, I love the Parisian style! It’s glamorous, sporty and timeless—just like this watch.”

As for what I’d style it with, I envision pairing this chic Parisian-inspired watch with a look that’s both feminine and tough – both dominate traits of my personality.  I think the vintage Ryu Lace dress is perfect to offset the gold in the watch and I love the color chocolate paired with rose gold and I love the silhouette of the Muubaa Monteria Dark Chocolate leather jacket and of course, you bring the entire look together with an edgy pump that features attributes of both the dress and the jacket – girly and edgy.

Ice-Watch Celebrates Fifth Anniversary & World Expansion

What do Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry have in common besides their innovative fashion sense? Both of these outrageous and fashion forward songtresses have worn Ice-Watch‘s boldly colored watches in their music videos. The colorful, classicly chic, elegant and innovatively packaged collection of watches held an event to celebrate it’s fifth anniversary and it’s distribution into the U.S market exclusively through Geneva Watch Group (Ice-Watch is currently sold in about one hundred countries and is the #1 watch in its segment in France, Germany and the Netherlands and #2 in the UK).

Ice-Watch timepieces are affordable luxury that offers the latest styles to appeal to everyone’s tastes. The brand was founded on two key principles that made and keeps them a success – change and high visibility thanks to the array of brilliant colors available and the innovative packaging – a transparent box called the BeCubic, which also features a coin slot and allows total visibility of the watch housed inside.

As of this year, the Ice-Watch, seen above in just a few of the many available colors, are now water-resistant to 10 ATM, feature a screwed caseback in polyamide+ and will launch eight new collections. Ice-Watch ranges from $90.00 (Classic Collections) to $189.00 (Chrono and Stone Silli Collections). For more information on these color focused watches, go to

Actor & Global Alpina Brand Ambassador, William Baldwin, Celebrate Alpina Geneve’s 2012 Diver Collection

Actor and Global Alpina Brand Ambassador Billy Baldwin (most recently seen as William van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl and Frank Delano on Hawaii Five-O) was on hand to help celebrate the launch of Alpina Watches’s new 2012 Extreme Diver Collection, which made its debut at Baselworld in Switzerland March 8-15, as the new face of its 2012 advertising campaign. The New Alpina Extreme Diver Watch is just the first model that Billy Baldwin will be introducing with the brand; more new exciting models are currently in development.

“We couldn’t be more confident in our choice for this campaign; William Baldwin not only represents the face of Alpina, he carries the spirit of the brand – Generous, strong, and talented,” says Alpina’s CEO, Peter Stas (featured in the photo with Baldwin below). Mr. Stas showed how true his statement was by donating ten of the new timepieces to The Carol Baldwin Foundation, Baldwin’s family charity for breast cancer research, named after their mother in their father’s honor, to be used as auction items for their various galas and events raising funds for breast cancer research. Each of the donated watches are special edition Divers with inscribed gold plating enclosed in the box featuring The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund Logo

“Associating myself with brands founded on solid corporate ethics with ambitious programs in place is paramount,” says Baldwin. “Alpina is exactly that brand and I’ve enjoyed working with them every step of the way.”

The new Alpina Extreme Diver is an ideal accessory which combines the elements of diving while delivering a bold, athletic, coolfactor that’s completely unrivaled. “As a general rule, for any regular activities from snorkeling to scuba diving, a diver should always choose a Watch with a water resistance rating of at least 200 meters. For the occasional swim, a watch resistant to 100 meters will do.”

The Alpina Extreme Diver’s case is made of anti-corrosive materials has a nonscratch crystals, and is outfitted with extendable wrist straps that can fit over a wet suit. The bezel of the Alpina Extreme Diver is unidirectional has luminous markers, and is used to set the maximum time a diver plans to be under water.

During the event, Baldwin, much to the delight of all guests, took photos with everyone who asked (almost everyone asked) to in the Alpina Geneva photo booth which featured the Actor’s ad.

Swatch & Japanese Artist Hideaki Kawashima Collaborate on Stunning New Watch Design

I have posted a couple of Swatch Watch‘s extraordinary collaborations with some great international artists which resulted in some great timepieces. As part of their new Swatch Art & Fashion Collection, the iconic Swiss watch and jewellery maker has collaborated with the acclaimed Japanese artist, Hideaki Kawashima, whose highly stylised images of women are both enigmatic and tender. The two new designs confirm Swatch’s ongoing commitment to working with pioneering contemporary artists from around the world. Shown below are the Swatch Originals New Gent watches designed by Hideaki Kawashima in PINK WRAITH and BLUE WRAITH.

Hideaki Kawashima’s two distinctive designs for the Swatch Art & Fashion Collection depicts a female face – with large, mysterious eyes and the most delicate of mouths – keeping with the otherworldly yet inviting style of painting for which the artist is famed. Despite the apparent similarity of these two designs, each one of the plastic and silicone watches is defined by its own specific colour and further differentiated by subtle details that reveal themselves upon closer inspection – for example, notice the slightly open mouth on the Pink Wraith and the closed mouth on the Blue Wraith

Hideaki Kawashima explains his design inspirations:
“When I designed these two wrist watches, I envisaged them having the character of a strange creature entwining around one’s arm, just like someone’s loving pet. Let’s say these are your ‘Little Mister and Little Miss’! I do hope you will like them.”

Hideaki Kawashima was born in Aichi, Japan, in 1969. Working with acrylic paint, and often using a delicate palette of pale or even slightly translucent colours, he creates images focused on the female face and form, drawing inspiration from both spiritual and everyday sources. Despite the sense of control and precision found within Kawashima’s paintings, he usually starts to construct the images directly upon canvas without using any preliminary sketches. The artist has admitted in the past that he prefers, if possible, to not give interviews about his work but instead simply present it and allow it to speak for itself. Since the early part of the 21st century, Kawashima has exhibited his paintings extensively at various prestigious galleries throughout Japan and beyond.

Previous Swatch collaborations, regularly unveiled since the mid-1980s onwards, have resulted in stunning time pieces from high profile visual artists including Keith Haring, Kiki Picasso, Alfred Hofkunst, Mimmo Rotella, Alessandro Mendini, Ivan Navarro and Jean-Michel Othoniel to name a few.

Guess Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

Color, prints, relaxed modern silhouettes and a bit of structure all make an appearance in the Guess Spring 2012 Womenswear Collection. We saw contrasting and bold colors, mixed prints and fabrications. Noted details included faded and colored denim, fuller skirts, blazers paired with just about everything, a touch of ombre and A-line dresses with wide belts.

Jewelry is bold for Guess this spring, with most of the pieces in striking turquoise and influenced by the west and creatures from the sea – specifically starfish; the collection featured dreamcatcher earrings, buffalo heads, lots of sparkle and shine and attention getting embellishments

The ornate details continued on to the watches – styles ranged from the set of pronounced colors – red, teal, hot pink – to classic and modern styles and a little animalistic – tigers eye and leopard print
