Max Jeans Spring 2014 Collection

Denim is a wardrobe staple for any season and we love the look of a classic dark colored denim but this spring we’re getting into lighter hues with lots of personality. This spring, Max Jeans offers more than just core denim. The Max Jeans Spring 2013 Collection boasts innovative techniques and washes such as indigo tonal color blocking, distressed and bleached out, white, grey, and natural hues featuring tone on tone embroideries and jacquard, camo and military prints, laser and water prints, and pastel rococo and paisley prints all in skinny, relaxed, modern and classic silhouettes.

Max Jeans is part of the Leon Max and Max Studio family and along with their amazing denim, offers vegan leather jackets and sateen stretch options as well at amazing which range from $49.00 – $89.00. The fairly new brand makes looks for women and in a all stretch, cut and wash to suit every body – sizing ranges from sizes 4-14. We’re particularly loving the all-over white tonal, paisley and embroidery prints and the indigo tonal color blocking (pictured below). The microsanded and lightweight denim features a hint of stretch which delivers a slimming silhouette. The jeans are also treated with an enzyme pre-wash that leaves the jeans softer and more subtle without compromising the strength of the fabric.

We also anticipate seeing lots of Max Jeans’s indigo/grey print Paisley Vest and the adorable floral print jeans and shorts like the below Pink tint Floral Shorts.

DL 1961 Fall 2013 Collection

Leave it to DL 1961 to really put on a show for it’s DL 1961 Fall 2013 showing. The denim brand introduced their leather-heavy collection with an energetic dance performance by dance troupe, kr3ts, who wowed the crowd with to a remix of Rihanna’s hit song, Diamonds.

The collection featured t-shirts, tank tops, blouses, blazers, and peplum tops made entire from and/or trimmed in leather, their XFIT LYCRA/4-way stretch skinny denim, coated denim and quilted leather jeans with such details like hip zippers, distressing, and printed metallic denim (python to be exact) were paired with layered, luxe basics.

The color palette for the DL 1961 Fall 2013 collection included cobalt, burgundy, black, white and gold and gilded leather with non-leather fabrics such as silk chiffon in muted, neutral colors like olive, creams, grey, etc.

The dance troupe came out again for another performance before the models did the show’s finale walk.

SMYTHE Jacket + Hot Hubby = Two Reasons To Be Blake Lively

You guys know normally I don’t normally post celeb fashion but when a celeb is wearing something that catches your eye, you can’t help it, which is why I’m posting about Blake Lively and her must-have jacket. Here is Mz Lively rocking her SMYTHE Cardigan Jacket in Jade Houndstooth while out and about with her hottie hubby in NYC Tuesday, January 8th.

I think along with sporting this cardigan and blazer hybrid in 2013’s favorite hue – green, she’s secretly reminding us of her husband’s amazing body as seen in Green Lantern or am I the only one making that green connection?. Either way, she has two thing I currently covet – lucky girl.

Cachè Spring 2012 Collection

If I said the name Cachè among friends, stories of prom dresses and winter formals would immediately begin, I’m sure its probably the same for you. Though they’re known for their beautiful prom and evening dresses (like the Fringe Beaded Strapless Cocktail Dress and Vintage Chiffon Beaded V-Neck Gown with Faux Belt – yes the belt is actually crystals and beads sewn onto the dress – featured directly below), Cachè does have a sportswear collection.

The Cachè sportswear collection features a mix of casual and sophisticated separates that take you from day to night. Chic day dresses to stunning evening styles and special event picks. The collection combines comfort with stylish classic styles, boasts bold and exciting prints and rich textures that transition easily between seasons.

A few of my favorite sportswear pieces from the collection include the very chic Belted Orchid Printed Tunic with Crotchet Trim in the photo directly above, the Belted Scoop Neck Dress with faux leather belt at waist and neck featured below – a hanger doesn’t do it justice

and this Faux Suede Grommet Sweater Jacket – a great way to add a bit of edge to a clean simple look

Maybe its time to make a little room in your closet for a few more Cachè pieces.

Baby its Fall Outside

It’s been too hot to wear clothes and it’s been annoying to do so until now. While I am not a fan of being caught in the rain, I do appreciate the break in the weather and the cool down. This cool down makes it so much easier to actually look at fall clothing. So on this cool rainy day, I could actually look at this adorable Explore Your Soul Tunic from Columbia Sportswear that’s been hanging in my closet since the summer

Not only is it comfortable, it’s freaking WATERPROOF – of yes I tested it out and it was amazing to see the water droplets sit on top of the fabric (thanks to the Omni-Shield advanced repellency). Not only does it keep you dry, it has “advanced evaporation technology and 4-way comfort stretch to keep you cool”. I also love the fact that it has double pockets which hit at the perfect arm length. I couldn’t help but take a photo of my sleeve

The Explore Your Soul Tunic comes in three colors – Tidewater (blue), Crushed Berry (shown above) and Greenscape (dark olive) and retails for $60.00. It is available in sizes XS – XL.

This temporary cooler weather has of course put me in a fall mood, so I will definitely try to fit in my other Columbia Sportswear items, like the Towering Tour Tunic, which easily transforms from long sleeve to 3/4 when you roll them up and snap into place with handy arm loops and closures. While on, this tunic kinda gives you a whole I’m off to safari feel which when you’re in the jungles of NYC is needed.

which retails $54.00 and is available in Pebble, Tidewater, Black Cherry (shown above), Greenscape and Black. This tunic is available in sizes XS – XL and the Black Cherry is also available in sizes 1X-3X.

The last item, which i’ll most like save for a particularly cool day (unless mother nature really throws us for a loop and we’re at 50 degrees tomorrow) is the Heathered Honey Long Hoodie

which retails for $60.00 and is available in Grill (grey), Mud (brown), Deep Teal and Black. My favorite thing about this hoodie besides its comfort are the princess lines on the front which makes wearing a hoodie very feminime. Ok, make that two favorite things because I love the fact that it has a shirt collar which is separate from the hoodie; the weight of hoods always make them slip back and your neck ends up getting cold. This tunic ends that issue. The Heathered Honey Tunic is available in sizes XS – XL and the Mud and Deep Teal are available in sizes 1X-3X

Columbia Sportswear will definitely have you ready for the unpredictable fall weather….now all I need are a pair if cute comfortable rain boots and i’ll be set.
