One thing about the end of summer we are thankful for is the extremely high humidity. It is like kryptonite to a beat face. There’s nothing more annoying than sweating your makeup off. Even with blotting sheets and powders, the humidity can ruin a flawless face. Of course, just because the fall season is here, doesn’t mean humidity goes away. Although it is a bit less aggressive, humidity is here all year’ round. Luckily there are beauty champions to help combat the unwanted effects of humidity and give your makeup more staying power. With the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Collection, you enjoy makeup that is set and locked in for hours; all you have to do is shake to activate.

Today we highlight a drink that we’ve enjoyed for many summers. Yes, it is the end of summer and while most would regard Limoncello as strictly a summer drink, we’ve known it more as an after-dinner drink. This digestif/digestivo is a classic Italian liqueur, made from the zest of the lemons from the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and Capri. It is very high in alcohol content, so it is best served in a shot glass. Note, this should be sipped, not gulped. But it also makes a very refreshing cocktail. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been indulging in the delightful Jovis Limoncello, a high-quality Limoncello from the Sorrento region.
It’s long been said that wisdom, knowledge, and understanding grow out of tragedy. That is certainly the case with the tragic Australian bushfires. Reading about this tragedy has allowed us to get to know more about Australia as a whole and it’s people. For example, did you know there is a group of Indigenous Australian women who form the Firesticks Alliance? This group’s aim is to protect, conserve, and enhance the cultural and natural values of Australia and it’s people through cultural fire and land management practices. This Alliance, and an ode to the rebirth of Australia, is the inspiration behind the PH5 Spring/Summer 2021 Collection.
