Amber Heard’s Loose Waves at the Magic Mike XXL Premiere

The lovely Amber Heard looked absolutely gorgeous at the premiere of her new film, Magic Mike XXL. To create her loose waves, Celebrity Hairstylist, Peter Butler, used Leonor Greyl hair products. To achieve the sensual look, a stylish fusion of Jerry Hall and Veronica Lake, Butler started with damp hair and applied Leonor Greyl Serum de Soie Sublimateur on her ends. He then applied Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice from root to ends, and blew her hair dry. He finished off by misting the hair with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple Hair Spray, to lock in the look, yet keep touchably soft and movable.

I really love this line, especially the delicate aromas. These products leave my hair (and skin) feeling brilliant, beautiful and glamorous. The Leonor Greyl brand specializes in hair care products that are made from only the highest grade of environment-friendly natural ingredients. My favorites are Huile Secret de Beauté Organic Beauty Oil and Serum de Soie Sublimateur Styling Serum for the overall protection they provide for your hair.

Huile Secret de Beauté is an organic beauty oil perfect for the hair and skin. This organic beauty oil for hair and skin delights with its scent of lemongrass, a staple for hair and body care. It also includes UVA/B sun protection, can be used all year long, and absorbs quickly, leaving hair silky with a gorgeous shine, and skin feeling soft and touchable. This rare jewel can be purchased for only $66.00.

The Serum de Soie Sublimateur works well with all hair types. It is made of a lovely combination of silk proteins and other oils. This product works as a wonderful detangler. It smooths, conditions and nourishes the hair without weighing it down. This nourishing and protective styling serum is also great for protecting hair from heat styling and sun exposure. Another hair must-have for only $46.00.

Vive La France: What’s New in French Beauty and Cosmetics

Besides having great cognacs, rich foods, and chic fashions, the French are also very much known for their amazing beauty products. French beauty products are known for their innovation and elegance, and as any French woman will tell you, it’s all about the skincare. The French put a lot into creating their skincare products, making them the most effective skincare products in the world. Today we present new launches from some of our most coveted French beauty brands, including Leonor Greyl, Orlane Paris, Lubin Paris, Talika Paris, Juara Skincare, and Antonym Cosmetics.TALIKA PARIS BIO ENZYMES MASK & EYEBROW LIPOCILS EXPERT

Being outdoors during the Summer months can leave your skin dehydrated and damaged after sun exposure but thanks to Talika Paris, there is a solution that soothes, relieves, hydrates, repairs and regenerates your skin. Inspired by skin regeneration techniques, the 100% natural nano-fiber, Bio Enzymes Mask® After Sun transforms your skin, thanks to hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin, antioxidant alpine flowers, and water-harnessing sugar that stimulates skin’s natural regeneration. Talika Paris is also known as the expert in eyebrow growth, offering the very best formulas for the past 60 years. The French beauty brand’s new Eyebrow Lipocils Expert Eyebrow Conditioning Gel stimulates the growth of eyebrow hairs. As 2015 is the year of thicker, more pronounced eyebrows, using a product to stimulate growth, intensify natural pigmentation, and leave you with more defined eyebrows is key, especially as we’ve previously succumbed to excessive plucking and sun exposure. Thanks to baobab leaf, coleus forskohlii to boost natural color, various peptides, and horse chestnut, you will begin to get fuller eyebrows after 28 days.

Although the fountain of youth has yet to be found, we present to you, complete radiance in a bottle in this Juara Radiance Vitality Oil. This light, miracle treatment oil contains a powerful blend of the purest, most precious oils that have revolutionized the beauty world, including Plumeria, Passionfruit, Candlenut, Coconut, Macadamia, Jojoba, Avocado, Turmeric, and Rice Bran Oils. Joining these amazing oils are Vitamin C, and a firming Five-Flavor-Berry Extract that hydrates, brightens, firms, and restores skin elasticity. Although this treatment product is an oil, it is surprisingly non-greasy and great for all skin types (yes even oily skin). You see this combination of precious oils helps to regulate sebum production, which is what all oily skin sufferers, like us, needs. 2-3 drops every morning and night, makes an excellent Skin-Saving Remedy, whenever your skin looks red or feels dry and stressed. Technically Juara Skincare is Indonesian, but much like the French, they take their skin care, and ingredients, very seriously.

Say goodbye to hair gels that leave your hair stiff, and waxes that are difficult to wash out. You can get the hold that you want without the stiffness and residue, as well as moisturizing benefits. Leonor Greyl has developed a styling product that applies like a styling wax, will not leave your hair stiff, leaves no residue in your hair, and easily washes out. Baume Bois de Rose is a radically innovative hair care product boasts properties of four exceptional active ingredients: berry wax to protect and soften, Brazilian Carnauba (Copernicia cerifera) palm wax, for its structuring power, Jasmine wax for its amazing moisturizing properties, and Amazonian Cupuaçu butter, a strong antioxidant which provides anti-UV protection, and hours of continuous moisturization to the hair cuticle.

A French beauty must-have, this lightweight treatment cream foundation that moisturizes, protects and regenerates your skin. This foundation that reduces wrinkles, redefines facial contours, enhances skin radiance, and evens out your complexion, while providing a long-lasting, natural satiny, and luminous finish. Tient Absolu contains vitamins and antioxidants to protect the skin without leaving it greasy, it stays on all day, and doesn’t dry the skin. The Orlane Paris Tient Absolu Treatment Foundation is available in four shades:

  • 11 Beige absolu naturalness and elegance for fair skin tones
  • 12 Beige sable enhances tanned light skin tones
  • 13 Beige doré gives a kiss of sunshine to olive skin tones
  • 14 Beige noisette brightens amber skin tones

Inspired by and named for the fresh-faced, yet risqué Grisette girls of 19th century Paris who would dash from work to bars for fun-filled nights of dancing, drinking, and debauchery, the feminine and floral Grisette by Lubin Paris fragrance is comprised of a variety of roses from Morocco and Bulgaria. Top notes include citrus, grapefruit, and bergamot, the heart or middle notes include Moroccan rose, Bulgarian rose, iris, and incense, and base notes include musk, amber, cedarwood, and Madagascan vanilla. This is definitely not your other’s rose-scented fragrance.

If you’re looking for a universally flattering blush that compliments all skin tones, look no further than this rosy organic baked blush. Thanks to the combination of a transparent and colorful finish, a weightless feel, and certified organic ingredients, your cheekbones will be left with a natural flushed look. An innovative baking process transforms the blush crème into a finely textured powder transforming it into an ultra smooth and silky when applied to the skin. The new Antonym Cosmetics Rose color of this Organic Baked Blush joins shades: Copper (shimmery bronze) and Peach (matte).

2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet Hair | The Classic 40’s Old Hollywood Glam

I usually try to just live tweet the red caret beauty and fashion for award shows because everyone else is writing a “my (insert award show here) beauty/fashion/etc” features but I find that I cannot escape because for the first time, I prefered the red carpet beauty to th red carpet fashion….though I must say I loved Naomi Watts’s deep red gown. My favorite aspect, all the vintage glam-inspired hair…those soft, sultry curls that celebs like Nicole Richie, Connie Britton, Rachel Weisz, etc rocked.

Out of these ladies, my favorites were Rachel Weisz and Connie Britton. Celebrity hairstylist Rod Ortega created Connie Britton’s classic 1940’s old Hollywood look by prepping with Leonor Greyl’s Serum de Soie Sublimateur on the ends and Leonor Greyl’s Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice on the roots. Try his below instructions to achieve this look:

Rod then began blow drying the hair with a round boar brush, smoothing out the hair and finished drying it. Before using a heat styling tool, he recommends using Leonor Greyl’s Spray Structure Naturelle. “This setting spray is very important because it’s going to give the hold for the style.” Using a 1-inch curling iron and setting the hair with the setting spray, he let Connie’s hair cool and brushed the waves out with a large paddle brush into beautiful, shiny waves. He then secured the waves with Leonor Greyl’s Lacque Souple, a couple of pumps of the Leonor Greyl Spray Structure Naturelle… “and voila, you have a finished red carpet look!”

Celeb Hairstylist Scott Cunha Recreates Golden Globes Best Looks

While tweet-watching the Golden Globes last night one of my friends and fellow bloggers, Lisa of Beautybybenz, twitted “January Jones has such shiny hair” and she did.

I was on the fence on her dress but her hair was super glossy and definitely had one of the best hair on the red carpet – totally enviable. Now, thanks to Celeb Hairstylist Scott Cunha, who will show you how to recreate this look using Leonor Greyl products

Scott Sunha also recreates another Golden Globe red carpet hair favorite, Natalie Portman, again using Leonor Greyl products (note: minus the large rose, I would’ve liked her dress)

I adore her as an actress and I loved Black Swan but this dress made her look a bit frumpy (pregnancy doesn’t mean you have to dress frumpy) but back to the hair – I loved that she put her hair up in a chignon. I’m happy she didn’t do the severe ballarina bun as many expected.

Scott Cunha, of the Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood, has worked on Emma Stone, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie and Diane Kruger and is a huge fan of Leonor Greyl products – in his words, he’s “obsessed”.

Leonor Greyl Launches Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase

Ultra luxe skincare company Leonor Greyl gathered several media insiders to celebrate the earlier introduction of their new Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase at the decadent Chatwal Hotel. We got to touch, smell and experience several Leonor Greyl products including the Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase, which I’m sure will be my favorite hair product.

Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase is said to be the magic hair care. This wonderfully scented leave-in milk detangles, smooths and protects hair in an instant adding shine, manageability and protection from the sun. As someone who only uses leave in conditioners to moisturize my hair, I love this product. WHY? Because after applying Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase to my very curly hair, both comb and brush glided through quite smoothly. My hair was shiny and moisturized without feeling or looking oily, greasy or heavy. Blow-drying my hair was a breeze and it helped tame the flyaways we curly girls tend to get.

What makes Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase work so well? Believe or not – Seaweed. Specifically Alaria Esculenta, a seaweed extract acquired from the Breton Coast; this extract has strong smoothing and protecting properties against UVB rays. Other beneficial ingredients include:

– Cassia Angustifolia – a plant cultivated in Southern India which smooths and conditions the driest of hair

– Manketti Oil (Mongongo Oil) – protects the hair against the drying effects of the sun and hairdryers by creating a protective film on the hair shaft when its exposed to the sun or heat

We also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Caroline Greyl, CEO and daughter of Leonor Greyl, who gave one on one information on several Leonor Greyl products but especially Lait Luminescence (first photo of Caroline Greyl by Neil Rasmus/
