Get Rid Of Stains With A Wave of A Dryel Stain Removing Pen

Stains are an unsightly annoyance. For years we’ve had to either wear our stains all day, be lucky enough to have a change of clothing, or the faded but still very visible sign of attempting to get rid of the said stain. And while innovations have allowed us to fight stains on machine-washable fabrics, all dry cleanable garments had to wait until they made it to the cleaners. This basically meant you’d be wearing that stain all day. Alas, there is finally a solution, the Dryel Stain Removing Pen. The only stain removing pen safe for dry clean fabrics that you can use on-the-go.

The Dryel Stain Removing Pen is a powerful stain remover designed with a soft touch tip that helps you power out stains without damaging your clothes. It does not contain peroxide so it can be used on dry clean only clothes without worry of ruining them. Along with it being safe on dry clean only clothes, it’s great on delicates and hand washables. You can easily get stains out of wools, silks, rayons, linens, cotton, and other special care fabrics without any worries. One of our team members experienced an almost devastating tomato sauce stain (see below); she thought she’d have to walk around with it all day. The Dryel Stain Pen came to her rescue.

Her semi-fresh stain (she’d been wearing it for at least 30 minutes), was eliminated immediately, as you can see above. The “After” photo was taken while she was removing the stain and as you can see, her blouse was just about back to its pre-stain glory. Once it was dry, all evidence of a stain was gone.

The Dryel Stain Removing Pen is so easy to use. While squeezing the pen, use scrubber like an eraser to eliminate stain and blot if needed. The ultra-compact Dryel Stain Pen meets (a 0.7 fl oz tube) TSA 3-1-1 carry-on liquid requirements so it’s perfect for removing fresh stains when you travel. Just dab it on and rub the stain with the mini scrubber and you’ll be free from your annoying stain.

Bounce & Thom Filicia Welcomes Bounce Bursts to the Washing Machine

We found out something, thanks to Bounce, that really had us thinking about how much time we spend indoors. If you think about it, the majority of all our time is spent indoors. Whether it be at home, on our commute (subway or car), at work, etc. We really do spend most of our lives inside missing out on all the wonderful scents and views nature has in store for us. Did you know that taking in the fresh smell of outdoors can actually refresh your mood? According to a recent study, Americans spend 90 percent or more of their time indoors. Which led to Bounce asking the question, “what if we can bring the outdoor freshness inside?” And of course they have achieve just that with the launch of their newest, time-released, in-wash fabric care product, Bounce Bursts.

With the help of celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia of HGTV and Style Network (he will always be one of the Fab Five to us), Bounce transformed The Old Bowery Station in downtown NYC to a beautiful outdoor meadow complete with beautiful spring flowers, a swing chair so inviting, we almost sat down and spent the afternoon taking in the wonderful, fresh scent of Bounce’s latest launch, and a line of fresh scented laundry.

Bounce’s first ever in-wash laundry product helps bring the freshness of the outdoors with you whenever you go, making you forget you’re stuck indoors. Just shake a few of these fun little bursts into your washer at the beginning of the wash cycle and enjoy the refreshing, clean, breezy, outdoor freshness in everything you wash for weeks. We had the great opportunity to have Thom Filicia walk us through the event and introduce us to Bounce Bursts, share some of his amazing design work and products (we want that rug), and share tips on how to incorporate outdoor freshness in our homes and fabrics.

Some of our favorite Thom Filicia tips are as follows:

  • Don’t be afraid of bright colors – By painting your walls with a bright color, the essence and vibrancy of the outdoors can be translated inside. For those who aren’t risk takers, focusing on one accent wall or introducing bright colors through the use of throw pillows or blankets as an easy (and maybe less daunting) way to bring the outdoors indoors.
  • Switch up your patterns and layer your materialsDon’t be afraid to be playful with your fabrics, adding in floral-inspired patterns and colors, along with a mix of materials, from wood to metal or stone, will help you evoke the feeling of being outside while lounging and even working indoors. You can also wash linens and other washable fabrics with Bounce Bursts for an added boost of Outdoor Fresh Scent.
  • Transform your fabricsBy washing your clothes with Bounce Bursts, you will take the Outdoor Fresh scent with you everywhere you go. You can also add the beads to a dish or vase to transform the scent of your entire laundry room.

Bounce Bursts are now available nationwide in Bounce’s signature Outdoor Fresh scent for a $6.99. Visit http://bouncefresh.com/bursts/laundry-scent-booster for more information on new Bounce Bursts.

Take the Tuck In. Turn Off Pledge w/ P&G’s Sweet Dreams Collection

It’s a fact that we do not get enough sleep and even if you get a good amount, it’s still not the full, deep sleep we need for our bodies to repair itself, regenerate tissues, build bone and muscle, and strengthen our immune system. Procter & Gamble, along with Dr. Ian Smith, and Jeannette Kaplun have partnered together to help you Tuck In and Turn Off, to get a really good night of sleep, starting in the laundry room. The regimen, all of which are official products of the National Sleep Foundation, includes: Tide® plus A touch of Downy™ Sweet Dreams™, Downy® UNSTOPABLES® Dreams™, Downy Infusions® Sweet Dreams™ and Bounce® Sweet Dreams™.

As bloggers and social media addicts, we are guilty of being constantly connected to our mobile devices, so it’s difficult to cut ourselves off from our tech vices at a decent time to get some real sleep. In fact, 41% of Americans report having problems with tossing and turning at least a few nights a week. Thanks to Dr. Ian Smith, Jeannette Kaplun, Tide, Downy and Bounce, we now have the tools to Tuck In & Turn Off.

Transforming a section of Grand Central Station’s Vanderbilt Hall into a Mid-Summer’s Night Dream-like bedroom hideaway that looked and smelled so wonderful, we almost jumped in. Dr. Ian Smith shared with us the value of sleep and how to get a better night’s sleep every night.

The P&G Sweet Dreams Collection is a line of products formulated with ingredients to clean, soften and freshen all your bedtime fabrics, from your linens to your pajamas, helping to create an ideal sleep environment so that you can relax in order to fall asleep. To commit to getting a good night’s sleep, P&G is challenging the nation to take the “Tuck In. Turn Off” Pledge, which goes as follows:

“I pledge…
To unplug earlier with all of my might
And sleep eight blissful hours each night.
To unwind for 30 minutes ‘fore I lay down my head,
With no texting, tweeting, or browsing in bed.
I’ll tuck in and turn off, no need to count sheep.
Cocooned in scent-y softness,

I’ll fall fast asleep.”

The “Tuck In. Turn Off” Pledge aims to combat the distraction by our phones, computers, iPads and TVs, too close to bedtime by encouraging everyone to turn off their tech devices at least 30 minutes before you go to sleep and tuck in to clean fabrics infused with the soothing scent and softness of the Sweet Dreams Collection. We love the scent of sweet lavender with gourmand vanilla and cedar undertones that is present throughout the entire Sweet Dreams Collection and look forward to enjoying a truly restful and rejuvenating night of sleep.

Now, we have to ask, will you commit to taking the pledge?

While getting acquainted with the amazing products from Mrs Meyer’s Clean Day, I was also introduced to closet whisperer, Melanie Fascitelli, founder of Clo-sette and Clo-sette Too who has transformed and designed the closets of come stylish A-List celebs.

Melanie offered her expert tips and advice on organizing your closet, including which garments to hang, which garments should only be folded, proper garment care, etc. Some must need-to-know advice she gave was

– Find the Perfect Partner: get someone you trust and who’s style you admire to help you edit your wardrobe

– For the Record: take a full inventory in word or excel of what’s in your closet

– To Hang or Not to Hang: use all the same colored hangers – a neutral color works best to show off your clothing, organize into separates, light to dark and left to right and make sure you have the correct hanger for the correct garment

– Clean and natural: use natural and aromatic products (like Mrs Meyer’s Clean Day) to wash your clothes and help keep them fresh – grab your steamer two out of the three times you send them off to the dry cleaners

– Good Habits Die hard/Shop your closet: do this twice a year, it will save you from buying the same items, get dressed easier in the morning and will keep your wardrobe updated.
