Check out the cool nail trends 10+Free Clean Nail Color and Nail Artist Holly Falcone created for PRISCAvera and Sandy Liang; and Nail Artist Ashanti Newman for Noon by Noor.

NYFW Nails: 10+ Free Nail Polish at PRISCAVera

  1. Apply Prep with Peptides Clear Base Coat to clean filed nails.
  2. With a striping brush, create multiple curvy stitch lines on each nail with Deep Sea-crets (for Denim Stitch) and Zinnia (for Pink Stitch).

Sandy Liang

NYFW Nails: 10+ Free Nail Polish at Sandy Liang

For Sandy Liang, Nail Artist Holly Falcone paired the classic French manicure with a 90’s twist using MOON BEAMS (Crisp Bright Alabaster White Crème) and SMOOTH SAILING (Pastel Blue Crème with a hint of Periwinkle) to create a stylish, yet simple thin French tip. This was an elegant look to complement the flirty gingham print skirts and girly dresses. Holly used a custom-made deep vampy-red to create a chic, bold and sophisticated nail look for the cool shearling and leather outerwear.

  1. Apply Prep with Peptides Clear Base Coat to clean filed nails.
  2. With a striping brush, create a french tip with Moon Beam (for Classic French) and Smooth Sailing (for French Twist).

Noon by Noor

NYFW Nails: 10+ Free Nail Polish at Noon By Noor

For the Noon by Noor F/W 2020 show, Nail Artist Ashanti Newman used Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa’s inspiration of Bahrain’s traditional handcrafted doors and decorative architecture for this season’s nail inspiration. With a wide range of colors and textures used in these pieces, 10+Free Clean Nail Color’s MOON ROCKS (Indigo charcoal gray crème) shade was the perfect compliment.

Backstage Beauty: Glamsquad at the JUST IN XX NYFW F/W 2018 Show

Fashion Week shows are not just about the fashion trends walking down the runway, we also anxiously await to see what makeup and hair trends will take center stage next season as well. This season, we journeyed with the Glamsquad beauty team as they did makeup, hair, and nails for a select few runway shows. First up was Glamsquad at the JUST IN XX NYFW F/W 2018 Show where Kelli J. Bartlett created the fresh-faced beauty looks, Giovanni Vaccaro celebrated easy hairstyles, and Christina Quercia has nails looking super elegant in a barely-there hue.

For the Glamsquad at the JUST IN XX NYFW F/W 2018 makeup, the team prepped the skin with a refreshing spray and Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum, followed by hydrating the lips with a nourishing lip balm. To add brightness, apply Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer concentrating the product under the eyes and on the center of the face. Next, neutralize the eyelid with the concealer by applying lightly with your finger. Add structure to the face by applying a cool-toned contour from the Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette in the hollow of the brow bone and cheekbone. Curl the lashes and create definition by bumping L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in the base without pulling through to the ends. Create a perfect ruby-stained lip by using a mixture of crushed plum and red velvet in the Bobbi Brown Lip Palette. Mix the lip colors on your hand, and then press on to the lip with your fingers for a natural look. Highlight the cheekbone with a glossy translucent highlight followed by applying Kevin Aucoin The Pure Powder Glow Blush to seal the look.

GET THE LOOK: HAIR – Natural Texture

Apply Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam to the roots of the hair and blowout towards the face using your hands
Next, spray Kerastase VIP Volume in Powder throughout the hair from mid-shaft to ends in order to create an airy, lived-in texture. Create a natural look by tucking some hair behind the ear with a few pieces left out around the face.
Finish with L’Oreal Elnett Hair Spray and Ouai Hair Oil if needed on the ends.

Create a strong center part all the way from the crown of the head to the nape of the neck. Apply Ouai Hair Oil combined with French Girl Sea Spray from roots to ends. Brush the hair flat and tuck behind the ears on both sides securing with an elastic. Pull a 1-inch thick piece of hair out of the ponytail and wrap around the elastic. Create a three-strand braid on both sides, secure with an elastic and spray with L’Oreal Elnett Hair Spray.

GET THE LOOK: NAILS (not pictured)

File the nails into a natural round shape with soft edges. Next, hydrate the cuticle with oil followed by a quick hand massage using Essie ‘Many Many Mani’ lotion to soften. Apply one coat of Essie Base Coat, ‘First Base‘,  followed by two coats of Essie ‘Brides To Be’. Finish the look with Essie Topcoat, ‘Good To Go’ and quick dry drops.

SheaMoisture Backstage at Tracy Reese Spring 2016 Collection

As huge fans of SheaMoisture hair products, we were excited to preview the hair inspiration that models would be rocking for the Tracy Reese Spring 2016 Collection during NYFW the Shows. Lead hair stylist for SheaMoisture, Bok-Hee, stated that Tracy gave her two hair ideas for the show, one teased and dry, and the other a sleek chignon, so she took those two ideas and combined them into the textured hairstyle you see below. Come with us as we join SheaMoisture Backstage at Tracy Reese Spring 2016 Collection show.

“Sheer transparency enhanced by ‘moments of shine’ set the tone for the Tracy Reese collection this season. While distinctive details such as color and embellishment came into play, the vision was to keep the woman looking natural and truly authentic. The beauty look completely reflects this – the skin is glowing and dewy while the nails are kept simple in design. With this in mind, I went about creating a no-fuss hair look signified by natural textures and an effortless chignon that perfectly complemented the overall finished look.” – Bok-Hee, Lead Hair Stylist

To compliment Trina Turk’s vibrant spring 2015 collection inspired by the Pop Art Flower Mart in downtown LA, models needed a fresh, dewy face with standout eyes and lips that was effortlessly beautiful to compliment the vibrant collection. Achieving the look started with healthy glowing skin, which was provided by Boots No. 7 Skincare. With models coming in from other shows and other makeup, the Boots No. 7 Quick Thinking Wipes were an essential art of skin preparation. Next was the No. 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream, the No. 7 Beautiful Skin Vitality Eye Roll-On and No. 7 Beautiful Skin T Zone Rescue to give the models a fresh-face look.

I had the opportunity to speak with Devin from Boots, as models were being prepped backstage about the Boots No. 7 Skincare range of products, check out the video below:

The Beauty Blender, a makeup artist favorite for foundation application, was used to achieve a flawless canvas

Before getting dressed and hitting the runway, models were moisturized with the No. 7 Intensively Moisturizing Body Serum and No. 7 Silky Leg Oil for that perfect overall California “beachy” look and overall healthy glow.
