GLOSSYBOX and The Man Repeller3

Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara – want a high-volume, false-lash look? Look no further than this mascara for bright, seductive eyes. Achieving bigger, bolder, more extreme lashes is a whisk of a wand away.

Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum – as someone with oily skin, this is one of my favorite products. The high-mineral content of Umbrian Clay neutralizes acidity as it purifies and clarifies your complexion, tones and hydrates while controlling shine and minimizes those pesky enlarged pores.

Le Metier de Beaute Replenishing Daily Solution – perfect for those cold drying winter days, this rich, paraben-free emollient formula protects, conditions and hydrates while it nourishes, rejuvenates and detoxifies your skin.

Living Proof Prime Style Extender – another favorite of mine, this weightless, style extending hair primer is a must. It allows you to go longer between shampoos and touch ups.

Narciso Rodriguez for her Eau de Toilette Spray – a lovely spicy and sweet floral fragrance that screams femininity and sensuality.

OPI “Can’t Let Go” Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer – looking for the perfect matte purple with a touch of shimmer, you have found it. Now you can have matte without giving up a bit of shine.

Vincent Longo Lipstain SPF 15 Lipstick – I love an immaculate blue-red and this award-winning SPF 15 lipstick in “Americana” is divine. This nourishing and softening lipstain won’t bleed and can easily be a go-to red for anyone.

Samsung Galaxy S III’s New Colorful Flip Covers

The Samsung Galaxy S III has been setting records worldwide for its innovation and now Samsung presents an innovative Galaxy S III accessory. What is it? Samsung presents a cool new cellphone case. The new Galaxy S III Flip Covers replaces your Galaxy S III battery cover to provide additional protection for your screen against smudges, scratches and dirt, give you privacy against nosy, over-the-shoulder readers and adds some bright color to a phone that comes in darker shades. For those of you who love the color pink (like me) – a color which is not offered in the Galaxy S III, this is a great way to brighten up your Galaxy S III.

How does it work? Simply remove your phone’s battery cover and clip on the hard plastic portion of the protective Galaxy S III Flip Cover in its place. The Flip Cover wraps around the side of the phone and the soft plastic felt adds an extra layer of protection over your screen when in place. The soft plastic felt easily folds back to allow unimpeded access to your Galaxy S III features. This cool new phone cover is available in multiple colors (not shown – yellow and orange). Want to spice up this cover even more? Even with the Flip Cover, it’s totally possible to add decals or bling to your cellphone, so have some fun with it.

Each Galaxy S III Flip Cover retails for $39.99 and is available now.

Tasting Panel Magazine Presents the 2012 Tour of Double Gold Winners – Part 1

I got the chance to enjoy an amazing and unique experience thanks to the wonderful people at Cockspur Rum. The the historic Bajan Rum won a Double Gold Medal in the rum category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and it, along with the other winners, are on a tasting tour to fourteen U.S. markets. I had the pleasure of attending the New York tasting at Beacon Restaurant & Bar. The event was separated into two rooms, one for wines and champagne and the other for spirits (hard liquor). I wish I could post everything I enjoyed but this would be way too long. I’ll begin with the hard stuff since I tasted fewer (most winners were Tequilas, Gins, Scotch Malts and Mezcals, which I stay away from)

Double Gold Winner – 2 Nite Sicilian Blood Orange Vodka $22.00

A deliciously sweet and smooth vodka that’s perfect on the rocks or in a mixed drink. I’d happily give up bottles of any other orange flavored vodka for a glass of this.

Double Gold Winner & Best Rum – Cockspur Fine Rum

Perfectly aged, beautiful amber color, smooth as silk. It’s a rum my family grew up with and I remember my grandfather sipping this fine rum when I was younger.

Double Gold Winner & Best Aquavit – Krogstad Aquavit $25.00

Aquavit is a spirit I am not familiar with but upon tasting, it was very smooth and dry. Krogstad Aquavit is a Scandinavian spirit that gets its distinctive flavor from caraway, anise seed and other herbs and spices. It makes a great substitute for vodka in Bloody Marys.

Double Gold Winner – Dictador 20 Rum $60.00

Though new to me, this is a great, dark Colombian rum; very sexy, very bold in flavor and taste which makes this a great sipping rum.

Best Moscato – Cameron Hughes 2010 Moscato d’Asti Lot 319 $14.00

The most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. It was so fresh, so crisp and absolutely delicious. It’s no surprise why it won both Double Gold and Best Moscato. Definitely adding this to the bar.

Double Gold Winner & Best in Show: Sparkling – Champagne Nicolas Feuillate 2004 Vintage Brut $46.00

A full bodied tasting champagne. It might just be my palette but I tasted warmth and more than just grape (pear maybe…something exotic?) I’m not sure but its definitely a delicious champagne.

Double Gold Winner & Best in Show: Dessert Wine – Barboursville 2007 Malvaxia Reserve Passito $30.00

If you love dessert wines or even just very sweet wine, this one is perfect for you.  I can also see enjoying fresh fruit soaking in this uber-sweet treat. Keep an eye out for part two of this tasting.

Handbag Butler Key Finder | Never Lose Your Keys in Your Bag Again

No matter what the rules of handbag fashion, I always carry a big bag. The amount of stuff I have to tote around almost daily can in no way fit in anything smaller than the size of a hobo, my SLR Camera alone one takes up at least half of my handbag. But with a big bag comes one problem – finding my keys. I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone, but my keys always end up at the very bottom of my bag. Digging for them takes at least 5 or more minutes and I end up with half my bag’s contents on the ground. But ladies, there is a solution…..and very chic one at that. Thanks to Handbag Butler, an Australian-based company that was one of the first to create purse hangers and who I wrote about in 2009 – check out the post – Handbag Butler at NYIGF – has launched Handbag Butler Key Finders
butlerowlbutlerbag
butlerjewel

I’ve actually used other key finders, but they too end up at the bottom of my bag because they did not fit properly or snugly on my bag like the Handbag Butler Key Finder does. This unique and must-have impulse gift comes in 15 unique (four available for purchase now) and chic designs that will complement any handbag and personality. Check the video below to see if this describes you:

Does the above video look like something you go through? Then this charming little accessory will help you. The Handbag Butler Key Finder comes packaged in an adorable velvet pouch and retails for $12.99. It will make any woman who carries a large handbag or who’s always struggling to find her keys.

Beauty Globetrotting with DHC Skincare

I was lucky enough to be invited to an intimate event with DHC Skincare, the #1 beauty brand in Japan inspired by award-winning olive oil from the Nunez de Prado groves in Baena, Spain. I was also really lucky enough to sample a few of their great products including their Velvet Skin Coat (which I love), their Liquid Eyeliner EX, and their Deep Cleansing Oil and get a preview of their 2013 Skincare lineup – Pore Cleansing Oil, Pore Face Wash, Designing Pencil Eyeliner, Designing Pencil Eyebrow, and Kakonjuka Essence. But let’s begin with the products I’ve tried.
DHC_Deep_Cleansing_Oil_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

I absolutely love the Velvet Skin Coat. As someone who has oily skin and large pores, I experience “shine” within 1/2 hours of washing my face (I should own stock in Boscia – that’s how often I used their blotting sheets). I’m crazy about this mattifying makeup primer. Yes, it is a makeup primer and has a non-greasy, powdery gel texture which can also be used over your makeup as well (something I love for shine touch ups, especially on humid days). And the best part, a little goes a long way. This is one product, I would definitely purchase.

Regarding the Deep Cleansing Oil, I just started using it, mainly because as someone with oily skin and large pores, I’ve been told to stay away from any oil based products so I was a bit scared but so far no complaints (I really need more time to determine). My skin does feel softer after my three days of use, I’ve experienced no breakouts, it didn’t clog my pores, I can use it with my Clarisonic (I apply with my fingers and then use the Clarisonic) and while at a makeup event, the artist told me my skin was very soft – I’d say that’s a plus. The Liquid Eyeliner EX is an instant love. It’s precision is amazing and you can make it as subtle or bold as you want even if you’re not a makeup pro. Now on to what to expect from DHC Skincare for 2013

Pore Cleansing Oil and Pore Face Wash (launching January 1, 2013)

Pore_Cleansing_Oil_and_Pore_Face_Wash_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

The Pore Cleansing Oil minimizes pores while gently and effectively removing makeup. It contains nine nutrient-packed botanical oils and an Amino acid to help unclog and minimize the appearance of pores. The foaming Pore Face Wash cleanses and exfoliates skin while helping to minimize the appearance of pores, refining skin’s texture with baking soda and fruit juice AHAs for a smoother finish.

Kakonjuka Essence (launching March 1, 2013)

Kakonjuka_Essence_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

The Kakonjuka Essence (smaller bottle) is an emollient serum which contains six Japanese and Korean botanicals (Maitake mushroom, Platycara strobilacea, Licorice leaf, Great burnet, Purslane and Reishi mushroom) that helps fights fine lines and wrinkles. It works in synergy with DHC’s Kakonjuka Lotion and Cream to soothe, hydrate and promote collagen and elasticity.

Designing Pencil Eyeliner and Designing Pencil Eyebrow (launching February 1, 2013)

dhc_pencils_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

The Designing Pencil Eyeliner (pictured above in Teal and Noir) contains olive oil and squalane to nourish your skin and provides a smooth, highly pigmented application. The Designing Pencil Eyebrow (not pictured) also contains olive oil and squalane to nourish your skin and will be available in Black, Black Brown, Brown, Soft Brown and Gray.
