The Belvedere Peach Nectar Launch at 48 Lounge

Everything’s peachy over at Belvedere Vodka. The famed vodka brand just added a new flavor to their growing portfolio of flavored vodkas with the introduction of Belvedere Peach Nectar, just in time for summer cocktails. The event was held at 48 Lounge, the award-winning cocktail lounge and NYC event venue located two blocks from Radio City Music Hall in midtown Manhattan. The chic lounge was the perfect location to celebrate this latest maceration from Belvedere Vodka.

The 80 proof Belvedere Peach Nectar is a mouthwatering blend of American peaches, Polish apricots, no added sugar, and of course Belvedere’s premium, rye-based vodka. The result is a flavor bursting with ripe and aromatic orchard fruit that adds a refreshing sweetness to your cocktails. Tasting Notes of the Belvedere Peach Nectar are as follows:

Nose: Bright, aromatic and refreshing notes of peach flesh, freshly cut citrus with a hint of toasted almond.

Palate: Juicy and rich, with notes of vanilla, ripe peach flesh, and baked apricot. Full bodied and luscious, the palate moves between succulent peach, sweet and aromatic apricot with a hint of marzipan and freshly baked almond pastry.

Finish: Sustained notes of ripe peaches with hints of almond and apricot.

World Martini Day with elit Vodka Penthouse at Marmara Park Ave

Whether you like it shaken, stirred, dirty, or dry, there’s no denying the delicious star power of a Martini. We had the pleasure of attending a few fabulous elit Vodka events to celebrate the upcoming World Martini Day aka National Martini Day. Renown mixologists were on hand at the Penthouse at Marmara Park Ave in New York, taken over by elit vodka for the entire month to celebrate martinis, to wow us with some of the most delicious martinis we’ve tasted. We were lucky enough to attend the launch event on June 1st, and the event to celebrate National Best Friend’s Day on June 8th. With one of our besties in tow, we enjoyed a night filled with a wonderful variety of martinis.

elit vodka is Stoli’s luxury, triple-distilled vodka made from grains harvested from a farm in Tambov, Russia. As a grain vodka, elit vodka produces fewer impurities during the fermentation process. Although grain vodka doesn’t need as much distillation, elit is still distilled four times, resulting in a vodka that is crisp, purer, smoother on the palate, and a delicious base for some very delicious cocktails.

In a martini chiller glass, place three pieces of culinary dry ice into the bowl section of the glass and add 2 oz of warm water, and give it a quick stir. The LED Martini was inspired by the burgeoning trend of technology and lifestyle becoming one (see: Claire Danes’ dress at the 2016 Met Gala and elit vodka’s own ballerina shown above). With just a few drops of concentrated floral leaves and the light from an LED bulb, the drink transforms from a clear cocktail to an illuminated and colorful concoction. Shake all ingredients and pour into a martini glass over ice. Add six dashes of pea flower and three dashes of hibiscus and watch the color change. Created in honor of World Martini Day and available all month long at Lot 45 in Bushwick.

La Signora Created by Nola Woodall (Sweetwater Social)

La Signora Branded Garnish 1

2oz elit Vodka
.75 Chareau Aloe liqueur
.25 Lustau Amontillado Sherry
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Serve: Up

La Signora is a lighter style martini with several layers of flavor and a long finish. The aloe liqueur has replaced the vermouth in this cocktail and the Amontillado serves to balance the sweetness in the cocktail while adding another layer to the palate.

DANZKA Vodka is #DesignedtoChill this Summer

We were lucky to be on hand to help welcome back DANZKA Vodka and its iconic aluminum bottle back to New York with a wonderful rooftop party. For those not in the know, DANZKA Vodka is very well-known as the world’s best traveling, premium vodka. The award-winning, smooth Scandinavian-style vodka, developed in Copenhagen, Denmark, recently held an event where we got to indulge in several cocktails featuring their four delicious US varieties – DANZKA Original, Citrus, Apple, and Cranraz (the other flavors include Grapefruit, Currant, and Fifty).

DANZKA_Vodka_Rooftop_Party_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com DANZKA_Vodka_Rooftop_Party2_www.mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com

What makes DANZKA Vodka so different? Why the uniqueness of its production. While some other vodka brands obtain the spirit from starch extracted from potatoes, molasses or milling industry by-products, DANZKA Vodka is made from 100% golden whole grain, and only carefully selected whole grain. The use of whole grain guarantees vodka with much more complete taste and aroma. DANZKA also uses water extracted from the Nordic underground which is then demineralized (the water remains completely clear and maintains it’s pure taste), and the purity of the water brings the taste of the 100% grain spirit into focus. Then the vodka through what is called the Scandinavian style of Vodka distillation, which includes a detailed fermentation process, then is passed through a continuous six-column distillation process to obtain the purest, smoothest and well-balanced taste that is DANZKA Vodka.

Aside from its distinct distillation process, the beauty of DANZKA Vodka is it’s very smooth taste (you won’t find any harsh bite here) and it’s innovative, Danish-designed aluminium bottle bottle which allows for faster chilling than traditional glass bottles, making it perfect for beach and pool parties, or anywhere you’d bring a cooler. The aluminum bottle also allows DANZKA to be served right out of the freezer. It is perfect either straight-up, on the rocks, or in mixed drinks or cocktails. At the event, we enjoyed several cocktails, some of which are shown above) such as the smoking Flutecicle, Appletini, and Lemonade by Design.

Toast to National Vodka Day w/ Wyborowa Wódka

We are days away from celebrating National Vodka Day (October 4th) and we’re excited to toast this annual honoring with a new Polish Vodka we were recently introduced to that’s launching in the US. We were lucky enough to celebrate the US launch of  Wyborowa Wodka, pronounced “Vee-bo-rova” or Wybo for short, a smooth, velvety vodka made from 100% pure rye grain that boasts a rich flavor and a natural, light sweet taste and aroma, setting it apart from other vodkas.

Wyborowa, which aptly means “The Finest” in Polish, is the #1 vodka in Poland, is made with the highest quality ingredients, and is produced through a continuous distillation process at 40 small-scale agricultural distilleries in Poland, earning it the acclaimed Polish Vodka Seal. At the event we were treated to three signature Wybo cocktails: Wyborowa Martini, Wyborowa Sour, and Wyborowa Chilled, as well as delicious Polish hors d’oeuvres. The Wybo Sour was deliciously addictive, and the Martini was as expected, smooth, dry, delicious and strong.

Wybo has been pleasing the palettes of vodka lovers since 1927, it is currently sold in more than 80 countries, and has received with more than 20 international awards including winning a Gold Medal in this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition. An impressive way to enter the US market. We had the opportunity to speak with Andrzej Szumowski, President of the Polish Vodka Association (pictured below) Wyborowa Wódka:

“Poland is regarded as the birthplace of vodka, and we are delighted to celebrate the spirit of our culture in the U.S.,” said Andrzej Szumowski, President of the Polish Vodka Association. “Vodka is the pride of Poland and Wybo represents that beautifully with its high quality and purity – something we should all raise our glasses to!”

The wonderful evening ended with a certificate honoring us as Ambassadors of Polish Vodka (ours is being framed)

Wybo Wodka will be distributed in the U.S. by importer and owner of a variety of international spirits, Crillon Importers Ltd, and a 750 ml bottle will retail for $15.99. You definitely need to add this 87-yr old vodka to your drink list.

Vodka from the Land Down Under: VDKA 6100

Forget what you think Australia is known for and get ready to enjoy the latest import from down under. Making it’s US debut is an incredibly pure and smooth premium vodka called VDKA 6100. Inspired by the Australian country code, VDKA 6100’s name pays tribute to its Australian roots but its incredible bottle design, created by leading New York designer Joe Doucet, highlights the quality and purity of this incredibly smooth vodka. VDKA 6100 is distilled from fresh seasonal whey and natural spring water from New Zealand, one of the most pristine spring water locations in the world.

VDKA 6100 will be a real delight to vodka lovers, fans of the spirit will love its light and crisp taste. It’s wonderful on the rocks with twist of lemon and makes a mojito so incredibly delicious, it can only be described as velvety. Adding to this vodka’s greatness is the involvement of Actor Robert De Niro, described as the “co-creator” of VDKA 6100, who will be the face of the brand.

“I’m very proud to be associated with the creative team behind the launch of VDKA 6100. It will be personally rewarding to be a part of its growth,” said Robert De Niro. We think that Paul Gardner, President of VDKA 6100, has an incredible product on his hands, and we’re not just saying this because we’re primarily vodka drinkers.
