Crown Royal Releases Limited Edition Bespoke Sipping Blazer

When you think of whiskey, you likely picture someone sitting by a cozy fire, sipping a glass filled with the dark liquor and perusing their favorite novel. Whiskey has always held an old-world charm and now it has become even more elevated with a limited-edition product from one of the most renowned whiskey brands in the world.

Crown Royal, the blended Canadian whiskey brand, has recently released the Crown Royal Blazer. It is a made-to-measure sipping blazer and draws inspiration from Crown Royal XR Extra Rare, the rarest of the brand’s rare whiskey series. This rare whiskey is expected to run out of stock very soon, much like the blazer itself.

The exclusive blazer is meant to be a celebrated collector’s item for the modern, luxury-loving individual. Not only does the blazer’s luxuriousness come from its exclusivity, but from its high-quality design as well. Renowned celebrity designer ALBA partnered with Crown Royal to make the blazer and the designer’s style of luxury tailoring certainly carries through. The blazer is a rich navy in color and features a gold embroidered Crown Royal XR crown on the breast pocket. The jacket’s interior is a gold silk lining with a pattern of Crown Royal XR crowns and patches.

The gold accents continue in the interior of the top welt pocket, which is designed as a gold silk pull out pocket square. Flap bottom pockets on the jacket also feature gold silk interiors. Buttons on the waterfall cuff are gold-plated as well and engraved with more Crown Royal XR crowns. The blazer’s lapel features a contrasting plush velvet on the collar and trim.

All of this luxury comes for a price. A single blazer costs $1,924 on the whiskey brand’s website. While the price may be a bit steep for the average consumer, this blazer is truly like no other. Spanish Fashion & Lifestyle Brand KIMOA Launches In The U.S.

It’s not often that race car driving and fashion mix, but that is exactly what happened with the new fashion and lifestyle brand that’s coming out of Spain. Say hello to KIMOA, a casual beach collection for men and women (today we’re only highlighting the women’s collection), inspired by the relaxed seashore culture of Southern California.

The beachy collection is the brainchild of Formula 1 race car driver Fernando Alonso, who launched this first line of apparel and accessories in the U.S. market after his recent debut at the Indianapolis 500, where he won the Rookie of the Year award. Based in Madrid, KIMOA is comprised of soft, easy to wear tanks, t-shirt, and sweatshirts for staying warm after a surf or skate session, easy dresses for those special summer moments, and rompers (also known as playsuits) for women, and swim shorts, hoodies, tees, and super soft sweaters for men. We love the idea that someone’s who’s career revolves around moving at such great speeds, would introduce an easygoing fashion and lifestyle brand that encourages you to relax and take things a bit slow.

The new collection also includes a complete line of sunglasses in a selection of round, square and aviator styles, ball caps, beach towels, skateboards, and surfboards. All wearable apparel and accessories within the collection are priced at under $100.00, with skateboards running around $300.00, and surfboards around $675.00. For us, the most standout detail from the collection was the incredible softness of the fabrication. The tees felt especially butter soft and lightweight to the touch, the dresses comfortable, and the sunnies were solid and smooth. The KIMOA Cape Town Sunglasses were absolute favorites.

Spanish artist and close friend of Fernando, Domingo Zapata, gave a warm introduction to the crowd, followed by a short speech from Fernando and the premiere of the KIMOA campaign video. Notable attendees included Spanish model Jessica Goicoechea and Italian model Linda Morselli.

Prabal Gurung for Target: Love Is More than a Feeling, It’s a Collection Too!

Well even if love is not calling for you yet, rest assured that it is definitely in the air! Not just love by the way, but all the things that pertain to love. Newness, carefree fun and party like revelry included.

Not feeling it yet? Then you simply must read and look further on for Prabal Gurung has got the things that inspire love on his brain geared for your diminutive forms with his new collection for Target. In what was literally a cavalcade of fun, Mr. Gurung (pictured below) unveiled his lovely creations for Target’s spring roster last Wednesday in the celebratory spirit of all that he loves about the season.

Showcased were pretty frocks adorned with bursting floral prints in both vivid full-bloom saturation and avant-remixed with honeycomb detailing, sweet delicate lace trims and panels and vibrant seasonal hues. The playful accessories served to enhance the form with a bit of whimsy, femininity and bling and were great accompaniments to the chic floral, color-blocked and color saturated dresses, blouses and skirts. From the gladiator-styled and ankle-strapped low wedge sandals to the precious crystal bracelets and necklaces, the accessories all had the appeal of statement pieces with a smartness to them that made them great accents even for a woman to incorporate into her already existing wardrobe.

The spring represents new growth and the colorful reawakening of clothing after a grey winter of full lengths and covered bodies. In this dazzling collection, Mr. Gurung shows off what he does best; pretty dresses and ready to wear with a modern sensibility for a women to live a fun life in while remaining coquettish, confident and pretty.

The launch was literally a carnival. Pier 57 was seemingly transformed into “Prabal’s Theme Park of Love” complete with amusement park games that guests played to win stuffed animals and Target gift cards and a giant Tilt-a-Whirl in the middle of the venue.


The food was also just as lively as the games with everything from mini carnival french fry cups to Asian dumplings to caramel crab apples to hot dog bites. Then what caps off an theme park visit better than a live show? A live show with a performance from Grammy-winning recording artist Ne-yo who topped off a night of childlike revelry, however, it was all in celebration of the wonderful clothing and accessories.

Macy’s Debuts New Private Label – BAR III

Retail giant, Macy’s has introduced a new private label called Bar III and celebrated with a launch event at the chic New Museum. Unlike most launches where stylists put looks together, Bar III used Bloggers from the following notable blogs – Karla’s Closet, Because I’m Addicted, The Style Blogger, Fashion Toast, Sea of Shoes, Feels Like White Lightning and Street Etiquette to style the lookbook, the event’s looks and the live models using mostly their own shoes and accessories.

Bar III is an exciting contemporary collection of womenswear and menswear that is youthful, on-trend and very wallet-friendly. I had a chance to speak with Mia Kumajai, Product Assistant at Macy’s Merchandising Group about Bar III and the event in general. See below for interview

While perusing through what Bar III has to offer for the summer, naturally I did a few mental shopping for myself. I not only imagined these pieces in my closet but on my body at different social events. My favorite look was this adorable lace short set. I know most people think there’s a limit to the amount of lace so it doesn’t start looking like you robbed your grandmother’s doily collection but Bar III does it very right with this look.

Macy’s will debut the Bar III collection pop-up shop starting February 10th at  156 Fifth Ave at 20th St. Of course I concentrate mainly on the womenswear in the above photos but as mentioned, this is a womens and mens line. You guys will be very to know that the inexpensive Bar III suits can be tailored to your body for free if you purchase it at the pop-up shop. One thing I particularly love about Bar III is the detailing on their pieces – the lace shoulder on my favorite look above to the quilted shoulder on the mens jacket below.


For those of you worried that you might not make the pop-up shop, don’t fret. Once the pop-up shop closes on March 6th, Bar III will be available at Macy’s flagship shops across the country. Happy Shopping
