It’s In the Bag: Christopher Belt and Harrian Launch New Handbag Line

Multiple Independent Designer Awards winner, Christopher Belt has teamed up with Seoul, Korea Handbag brand Harrian to launch a new affordable luxury handbag collection and we had the pleasure of attending the launch event. The Christopher Belt and Harrian New York handbag line features a collection of mid-tier to high-end handbags created with inspiration from the world of architecture, furniture, and fashion. Handbag designer Christopher Belt is a fan of angular lines and details that are prevalent throughout the collection.

What started out as a small Manhattan boutique in 2014 is primed to become one of the most sought-after ranges of handbags. Each item in the Christopher Belt and Harrian New York handbag line is carefully created to reflect wit, elegance, and style while maintaining a “go anywhere” functionality. Chic and street-sensible, the Christopher Belt and Harrian New York handbag collection features something that will appeal to virtually every woman.

Every handbag from the Christopher Belt and Harrian New York handbag collection is beautiful but we do have our ultimate favorite styles. Top design choice for us is the hexagon shaped Galeforce Tote (the first handbag pictured). The minimal style handbag features short handles and a long shoulder strap in a two-way style that screams luxury. The circular Ticktock Crossbody (featured below in red) is inspired by the concept of time. The bag features Hermes embossed leather in a trendy circular shape with a triangular bar decoration to represent the hand of the clock, a short handle, and a removable long shoulder strap. The chic Cherry Bomb Retro Mini Cross Back boasts imported Italian leather, is decorated with gold cherries all over the front, and features an adjustable shoulder strap.

We have the pleasure of experiencing both the Parlour Gin and the Prickly Pear EquineOx at Five Mile Stone in New York City (one of the bar/restaurants you can enjoy these farm to glass spirits). We fell in love at first sight of the distinguished, cheeky, and sophisticated packaging. We all know how alcohol can make wild animals out of people and we loved the visual of wild animals looking and acting quite distinguished and sophisticated – hence why we believe Eau Claire’s spirits will turn the wildest of animals into sophisticated drinkers.

The Eau Claire Parlour Gin is a London-style dry gin that augments more traditional gin botanicals, creating a juniper berry-induced dryness, but with unique hints of rosehip, Saskatoon berry, coriander, lemon, orange, mint, and spice. It’s dry with a harmonious texture and smooth finish. Parlour Gin is distilled with a selection of special botanicals that gives it delicious, unique flavor notes. We usually tread lightly with Gins because the bite can be too much for us, but Eau Claire’s Parlour Gin truly surprised us with its quick bite and immediate smoothness.

The Eau Claire Prickly Pear EquineOx is a distillation of the essence of Alberta – blue skies, mountain-fresh water, prairie grain and distinctive ingredients like the prickly pear cactus. This smooth and flavorful spirit defies comparison, though it could be described as a sweet, barley-based alternative to gin or vodka. Its name honors the role Eau Claire’s horses and oxen play in the annual spring planting and fall harvest. This was our favorite! We loved the unique taste, slight sweetness, full-bodied weight, and smoothness of the Prickly Pear EquineOx. Oh, the cocktails we will enjoy with this distinctly flavored spirit.

Eau Claire Distillery’s Parlour Gin and Prickly Pear EquineOx are imported and distributed within the United States by Park Street Imports, LLC. Some retailers carrying both spirits in New York includes 55th Street Liquors, Ambassador Wine & Spirits, Blue Angel Wines, and Duke’s Liquor Box. Violet Chachki Hosts Sleek MakeUP Launch in the US

Hey fellow beauty lovers, has anyone ever said the following words to you, “don’t you think you have enough makeup?” We’re sure you’ve told them to bite their tongues, because one could never, ever have enough. Which is why we’re always truly excited when a new cosmetics brand makes its way to the US. Sleek MakeUP, one of the fastest growing mass market cosmetic brands in the UK, is officially available in the US. The super pigmented cosmetics boasts 152 products across the lip, eye, and face categories, quality formulations, and inclusive shade selections.

Credited with bringing contouring to the masses in 2009, and pre-empting the 2012 Matte Lip trend, it is no surprise that Sleek MakeUP has developed a worldwide cult status. The beauty launch event had us return to The Tuck Room, where we enjoyed that amazing evening of Drunken Doughnuts to a room full of awe-inspiring beauty products and one of our favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race winners, Violet Chachki, who is featured in one of four of Sleek MakeUP’s challenge videos.

We, as with our fellow attendees, were wowed with the vast array of Sleek’s cosmetic products and color options. We loved the 12 bold tones of mineral-based, highly pigmented shades in their eyeshadow palettes, the super light texture of their Matte Lip Cremes, highly pigmented lipsticks, their and their ultimate cream contour kit, which boasts an extra, dark shade.

Coinciding with the US launch is Sleek MakeUP’s first US campaign, The GlowDown, the ultimate makeup junkie showdown, featuring social media and TV’s top drag queens and beauty gurus. As we mentioned before, Violet is featured in one of Sleek’s four challenge videos. The launch of The GlowDown challenges highlights (pun and it stays) Sleek Makeup’s recently launched “My Face. Spanish Fashion & Lifestyle Brand KIMOA Launches In The U.S.

It’s not often that race car driving and fashion mix, but that is exactly what happened with the new fashion and lifestyle brand that’s coming out of Spain. Say hello to KIMOA, a casual beach collection for men and women (today we’re only highlighting the women’s collection), inspired by the relaxed seashore culture of Southern California.

The beachy collection is the brainchild of Formula 1 race car driver Fernando Alonso, who launched this first line of apparel and accessories in the U.S. market after his recent debut at the Indianapolis 500, where he won the Rookie of the Year award. Based in Madrid, KIMOA is comprised of soft, easy to wear tanks, t-shirt, and sweatshirts for staying warm after a surf or skate session, easy dresses for those special summer moments, and rompers (also known as playsuits) for women, and swim shorts, hoodies, tees, and super soft sweaters for men. We love the idea that someone’s who’s career revolves around moving at such great speeds, would introduce an easygoing fashion and lifestyle brand that encourages you to relax and take things a bit slow.

The new collection also includes a complete line of sunglasses in a selection of round, square and aviator styles, ball caps, beach towels, skateboards, and surfboards. All wearable apparel and accessories within the collection are priced at under $100.00, with skateboards running around $300.00, and surfboards around $675.00. For us, the most standout detail from the collection was the incredible softness of the fabrication. The tees felt especially butter soft and lightweight to the touch, the dresses comfortable, and the sunnies were solid and smooth. The KIMOA Cape Town Sunglasses were absolute favorites.

Spanish artist and close friend of Fernando, Domingo Zapata, gave a warm introduction to the crowd, followed by a short speech from Fernando and the premiere of the KIMOA campaign video. Notable attendees included Spanish model Jessica Goicoechea and Italian model Linda Morselli.

Gin Mare Makes US Debut with Lo Bosworth and Chef Michael White

The rooftop parties and US alcohol debuts continue during the hot summer season, and we’re loving it. Gin Mare celebrated it’s US debut with a stunning rooftop party with Lo Bosworth, and Michelin-star awarded Chef Michael White of the Altamarea Group. The penthouse of Ramscale Studio in NYC was the setting of the Med Rooftop party series to celebrate the US debut of Gin Mare. Guests in attendance enjoyed the gorgeous NYC views, delicious small bites, stunning decor, and tunes by DJ Franco V, as they sipped on a wonderful and varied gin cocktail list. The available Gin Mare cocktails included a Signature G & T, Triple Orange G & T, Red Tonic G & T, Med Mojito, Perfect Martini, and Gin Basil Smash.

The premium Mediterranean gin boasts a cult following and an uncommon roster of botanical ingredients. These unusual ingredients include basil from Italy, thyme from Greece, rosemary from Turkey, and Arbequina olives. Those distinct flavors, along with the traditional juniper, cardamom, and citrus fruits from Spain, gives this gin its unique flavor. The handcrafted Gin Mare is distilled in Barcelona, Spain in an ancient fishing village between the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada. It is made in small batches in a copper pot still with 250 liters of capacity per batch.

We have no doubt she picked his brain and got some great cooking tips from the world-renowned chef. about his life and experience as a . The distinct cocktails and light fare paired wonderfully together, with both evoking the taste of the sea.

Sanrio/Hello Kitty’s Gudetama, the Lazy Egg, Makes his U.S. Debut

Not since Humpty Dumpty and colorful Easter Eggs, has an egg so captured our hearts. Already a huge hit in Japan, the newest member of the Sanrio/Hello Kitty family, Gudetama – the lazy egg, will charm you with his adorable laziness. Toast to National Vodka Day w/ Wyborowa Wódka

We are days away from celebrating National Vodka Day (October 4th) and we’re excited to toast this annual honoring with a new Polish Vodka we were recently introduced to that’s launching in the US. We were lucky enough to celebrate the US launch of  Wyborowa Wodka, pronounced “Vee-bo-rova” or Wybo for short, a smooth, velvety vodka made from 100% pure rye grain that boasts a rich flavor and a natural, light sweet taste and aroma, setting it apart from other vodkas.

Wyborowa, which aptly means “The Finest” in Polish, is the #1 vodka in Poland, is made with the highest quality ingredients, and is produced through a continuous distillation process at 40 small-scale agricultural distilleries in Poland, earning it the acclaimed Polish Vodka Seal. At the event we were treated to three signature Wybo cocktails: Wyborowa Martini, Wyborowa Sour, and Wyborowa Chilled, as well as delicious Polish hors d’oeuvres. The Wybo Sour was deliciously addictive, and the Martini was as expected, smooth, dry, delicious and strong.
