Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week: Rani Zakhem SS2018 Collection

http://mylifeonandofftheguestlist.com/?kaletra=lopinavir-coronavirus-buy Like art and volcanoes, fashion can be explosive, fiery, and intense. The same can be said about Lebanese Designer Rani Zakhem Spring Summer 2018 Collection at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Like an erupting volcano, his phenomenal haute couture collection was filled with fury, fervor, and effervescence! For his first Paris haute couture fashion show, Rani Zakhem celebrates life and joy in incandescent metaphors. Fire is the essential element of this sumptuous yet relaxed collection, dedicated to a volcanic woman. Get to know the beautiful women’s fashion collection below.

Some creations seem to be sculpted in the light, like the pearl-beige silk dress, where red, orange and gold gems glow with a myriad of sequins that bring precious reflections back to the surface. The image of an erupting volcano is spun to the neck, columned and entirely gilded, a recurring element of the collection and keystone of an architecture that favors ease, movement and, the dancing flames that seem to devour the fabric barely touch the floor.

Reminiscent of a party in Vienna where the designer returned bedazzled, Klimt’s Kiss, itself cast in gold in a powder dust of stars, infuses into the collection a resolutely modernist visual vocabulary, translated into sequins of geometric forms. Geometry that also brings us into the disco spirit of the 1970s with many references to Halston, especially in a loose single shouldered fluid dress with a golden Mao collar, in a fanned out degradé rainbow, gold to red through yellow and bright orange. Gold, again, subtle and powdery, sculpts a feuille d’or chiffon dress, knotted in a wrap around bustier dropping into a deep backline, a tribute to Mireille Darc elegantly quoting Guy Laroche.

A scarfed collared, vertiginously split yellow chiffon, plissé Soleil dress with mouton sleeves, is a joyful smile addressed to Jean-Louis Scherrer. Another, short black silk satin, real Moujik tunic adorned at the bottom with pleated yellow faille embellished with a large bow of the same fabric is a nod to Yves Saint Laurent. A third composed of a densely embroidered golden top with narrow three-quarter sleeves and a long black pleated skirt is a reverence to Balmain. The heart skips a beat when the liquid gold drape of a silk jersey habillé evening sheath appears, ending with a large bow of black silk satin on the shoulder, a tribute of the designer to Madame Grès.

A delicate apotheosis of this fashion show, shaped in flowing lava and blazing fires, is the wedding dress, long and tight, in delicate whitish lace, emphasizes by its precious simplicity the minimalist bias of a collection with budding emotions.

By Judy Zhang Luxury Ready-to-Wear Spring 2018 Collection

It’s almost time for NYFW the Shows’ Fall/Winter 2018 collection previews and while we’re filled with anticipation, we’re so ready for this year’s Spring/Summer fashions. You see next month is when many Spring 2018 fashion begins to hit retailers. It’s the time when we can finally shop for all the stunning looks we saw last NYFW and fashion previews we attended a full season ago. We begin this round of Spring/Summer 2018 highlights with a fabulous bang, specifically the stunning collection, By Judy Zhang. Boasting chic everyday looks, elegant workwear, and luxury beyond compare, the Spring 2018 By Judy Zhang collection features unique creativity in both the materials used and functionality.

We had the wonderful pleasure of getting to know the By Judy Zhang collection at the Bandladies showroom in NYC. Inspired by a desire to create beautifully constructed clothes, By Judy Zhang prides itself on using the time-honored techniques of supremely skilled, local manufacturers at some of the oldest factories in the country. This collection gifts us with three design series – Sweet Punk and Profession Rock Series, Elegant Queen Series, and Extreme Luxury Series. It features figure-skimming little black dresses and black lace, which has deep roots in Sicily and tells a story of passion and love for one’s roots. The fusion of Sicilian heritage and Italian craftsmanship makes these items instantly recognizable. The collection is so beautiful, it’s virtually impossible to select less than ten favorites. We love the 3D appliques on the chic denim pieces and white shirts, the bejeweled PVC jackets, the handpainted artwork, and streamlined lace pieces. How can you not love everything!

Designer Judy Zhang is a speculative fashion rebel. Her soft external and independent heart, have been gently shown in her exquisite clothing and their details. Within the conception of fashion, Judy Zhang has always shown her “new woman’s philosophy”. Her rebellious and beautiful haute couture/ready-to-wear brand is intended to create a “category” that breaks the definition of traditional women’s clothing and merges the idea of traditional clothing into the “consciousness”.

Judy believes that Fashion design is the most direct way for women to show themselves, and she has created a lot of commanding heights in design and business areas in the last 20 years.

Is the By Judy Zhang Spring 2018 collection putting you in a spring state of mind? What are your thoughts on her collection?

True Religion Releases Two Fall’17 Collections: WHOA & The Great Revolt

For the cooler seasons, fashion denim power brand, True Religion, known for their quality and innovative fits, washes, unique design details and distinctive stitch, released not one, but two Fall/Winter 2017 collections. Well, one is a full collection, and the other, a very large capsule collection; but at 30-pieces, it seems full to us. We had a the opportunity to preview the True Religion WHOA Fall 2017 earlier this year, while The Great Revolt Fall/Winter 2017 capsule collection was recently announced. Check them both out below:

True Religion WHOA

To emphasize on-trend and cool, the stylish collection, which was on display by seated and standing models, the looks fit seamlessly into the eclectic and fashionable style of the attendees. The collection featured a variety of denim fits, silhouettes, washes, and embellishments, including patches, distressed and ripped details. Bomber jackets are seen through the collection for both men and women ranging from classic colors and details, lightweight fabrications, to some a bit more ostentatious. One of our favorites was a bomber jacket with a padded quilt exterior, decorated with gunmetal stud detailing. The fall/winter seasons wouldn’t be fun with out a few leather options. Stylish fall-worthy leather pieces from True Religion also included bomber jackets, as well as hoodies, and joggers.

True Religion THE GREAT REVOLT

To call The Great Revolt a capsule collection is a bit misleading, the 30-piece unisex collection balances a refined street aesthetic with militaristic uniformity. Armed with a lineup of limited edition looks, including an over-sized parka, reversible Sherpa jacket, and a wide leg cargo pant, the collection uses tactical design elements, such as muted color palettes, exaggerated pocket details, and raw edge hems to deliver a modern spin on conventional utilitarian style.  Unlike the regular collections, there will be no replenishment. Once the pieces sell out from the True Religion website, they are gone for good. Prices for the Great revolt collection range from $89.00 – $499.00 and is available now on www.truereligion.com.

NYFW: Sherri Hill Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

When it comes to glittering formal wear that is always feminine, fashion-forward, and all around fabulous, the go-to designer is Sherri Hill. Whether you’re hitting the red carpet, the prom, or any formal occasion, this formal evening wear designer should be at the top of your list. During New York Fashion Week, the stunning Sherri Hill Spring-Summer 2018 collection of occasion dresses debuted to a packed house of editors, celebrities (both on and off the runway), and influencers.

The Sherri Hill Spring-Summer 2018 Collection started with the bold shade of red. Red exploded down the runway in satin, intricate beadwork, large florals, and fringe. Speaking of fringe, the ornamental detail dominated the collection, appearing in crop tops, long and short skirts, and gowns.

Luxe fabrics, lots of sparkles, more intricate beading, and a variety of figure-flattering silhouettes, including pants and jumpsuits, were highlighted in the popular color palette of whites, pinks, and shimmery pastels were also present throughout the collection.

While all the looks were stunning, one truly stood out to us. Our favorite look from the evening was a stunning spaghetti strap “unicorn” gown with a very dramatic slit and pastel beaded bodice.

The highlight of the Sherri Hill Spring-Summer 2018 Collection was the presence of  Actors Jamie Foxx and Keenan Wayans sitting front row.

Both men were there to support their daughters, Corinne Foxx and Nala Wayans, as they made their NYFW runway debut. You may not know this, but both Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin made their New York Fashion Week debuts in Sherri Hill fashion week shows.

The Sherri Hill collection epitomizes the fashionable lifestyle of today’s contemporary women. Each look is designed to enhance and fit the female form with fashion-forward styling and wearability. Her design career began to gain recognition when various Miss USA, Miss Universe, and Miss America contestants won titles in her gowns. Today, the Hill family business has a network of over 1,000 stores selling the brand in over 30 countries.

What are your favorite looks from the Sherri Hill Spring-Summer 2018 Collection?

Nolcha NYFW: Luyang by Yanglu Spring 2018 Collection

For the past 10 years, Nolcha Shows has been giving upcoming and indie designers a chance to shine during NYFW.  To celebrate their 10th Anniversary and the Spring/Summer 2018 season, Nolcha Shows featured seven collections, one of which was the Luyang by Yanglu Spring 2018 Collection. Based in Chongqing, China, Lu Yang graduated from Sichuan Fine Art Institute with the master’s degree in Fashion Design and made his debut his Lu Yang collection in 2013. His inspiration for his Spring 2018 Collection? The act of falling in love.

The color red playing a prominent role in many of the designs. The designer uses “Love” as the theme to express the emotional feelings of deep and passionate love. A flamingo is often referred as a metaphor of loyalty and faithfulness when comes to love. The collection featured intricate folds, embroidery, printing, and hanging ribbons, all to emphasize love in its many forms.

Colors such as red, white and blue and the geometric patterns derived from the shape of the Flamingo have been incorporated and elaborated in the Luyang by Yanglu Spring 2018 Collection. The collection featured a mix and balance of function and minimalist aesthetic. Waves of folds, embroidery, printing, hanging ribbon and other techniques used in the design state love in a variety of forms and express vigorous vitality.

The collection appeals to modern city girls and encourages feelings of love at first sight. It celebrates how love can make your heart flip; how it can create the feeling of butterflies in the stomach; how it can make your mind go crazy. Love can make you passionate, innocent and pure, it can bring out the best in you. The Luyang by Yanglu Spring 2018 Collection encourages you to understand, to experience, and to love.

NYFW the Shows: Pamella Roland Spring 2018 Collection

There’s a quote by American Fashion Designer, Elizabeth Hawes that goes, “The French legend is a very simple one. All really beautiful clothes are designed in the houses of the French couturiers and all women want these clothes.” That is what was brought to our minds as we relished in the stunning Pamella Roland Spring 2018 Collection during NYFW.  Our first runway show of the season definitely started with a very breathtaking bang as we watched the 33-look collection beautifully glide down the runway.

No surprise what this quote popped into our minds as the effervescent Pamella Roland Spring 2018 Collection is inspired by the French Riviera. An ode to the glamorous seaside town of Monte Carlo, the Pamella Roland Spring 2018 Collection featured hand draped tulle ball gowns and clean streamlined silhouettes that we’re sure Princess Grace Kelly would covet. Looks were decorated in intricate metallic fringe, crystal, and sequin firework motifs, 3-D degrade embroidered scalloping, fabric manipulated flowers, and feather plumes.

Much of the magic and glamour you find in Monte Carlo was celebrated in the ombre Mikado, pleated tulle, and embroidered lace that made up the sea of luxurious fabrics you see above. The collection’s color palette boasted royal tones of cobalt, navy, and aqua (very much like the tones of the Côte d’Azur coastline) that seamlessly briefly sparked to hues of fuchsia, then paled down to elegant blush and lilac.

The collection also featured high low gowns, capes, lots of layered tulle, and bow details that rounded out a collection fit for a princess or glamorous Hollywood starlet. Some of our favorite looks from Pamella Roland (we’ve had a difficult time narrowing it down to three) include the sensuous blush and fuschia ombre Mikado draped cocktail dress, the lilac, and white ostrich feather cocktail dress with pleated tulle waistband, and the lilac high low gown with hand draped tulle.

Do you have any favorite looks from the Pamella Roland Spring 2018 Collection? Share them with us and have a wonderful fashion-filled week.
