Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for the Cookie Monsters

It’s the holiday season and if you haven’t started already, it’s time to think about gift ideas. While we will certainly share typical gift ideas for fashion, beauty and accessory lovers (may even throw in a gift guide for fellow cocktails lovers), we wanted to share these gift ideas for those who have more of a sweet tooth. I mean you can’t celebrate Christmas without some cookies right? So here we go:

Cheryl’s Cookies Warm Holiday Wishes Gift Tin Tower

Cheryl’s Cookies are known for their numerous varieties of delicious cookies. Their popular Holiday gift tower includes a new gift tin filled with individually wrapped gourmet cookies including their addictive buttercream frosted Holiday cookies, snack size cookies and brownies, butter shortbread cookies and buttercream layered chocolate cookie sandwiches. This festive set comes with a Merry Christmas gift tag and a total of 63 pieces to enjoy.

Paragon Books The Christmas Cookie Stamper Set

Have someone who loves to bake? Give them the gift of making, baking and decorating cookies to suit their tastes, and then stamp them with a personalized message using the ‘Make Any Message’ stamp. Whether they prefer simple sugar cookies or tasty gingerbread – the Christmas Cookies recipe book contains a selection of essential festive recipes to create at home. Includes ideas for home-baked gifts, decorations for the tree and even tasty snacks to leave out for santa! The recipe book contains full page photography and clear recipes (plus clear labeling of recipes suitable for use with the cookie stamp) that will help to ensure they bake something extra-special this year.

Pepperidge Farm Goldfish My Way

Okay, technically they’re not cookies but you can still get into the holiday spirit with these addictive crackers. You can customize a box of Goldfish with photos and well wishes, the recipient’s name and your favorite goldfish colors and after 3 weeks (14 days for production and 5-7 business days for delivery), this personalized gift of everyone’s favorite snack is complete.

What do you guys think of these gift ideas? Do you guys know any other cookie gift ideas that may bring joy to any cookie lover?

Holiday Gift Ideas | Gifts That Give Back

I had the pleasure of attending a holiday event at the beautiful Andaz Hotel and was pleasantly surprised to walk into an amazing event, The Andaz Holiday Bazaar, that celebrated local artists and up-and-coming talent, offers unique gifts for the holiday and raises money for an amazing cause. The custom-created items included home décor, one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, apparel, and more. The online bazaar is hosted by video shopping destination and all available gift ideas can be seen by heading to All proceeds from the sale of items go to Women for Women International (WfWI), a nonprofit organization that provides women in war-torn countries with economic opportunities to be positive catalysts for change. Check out a few of the items available for purchase and the artists behind them:

Flash Rosenberg

Flash Rosenberg is a “live-cartoonist” based in New York City who draws, photographs, writes and performs. Flash will be selling custom-created white and rose scarves that feature drawings celebrating the knowing smiles between women everywhere.

Michael Breach

Michael Breach, a self-proclaimed “espressoionist,” is a New York City based artist/barista with a unique talent of creating incredibly detailed portraits and designs in coffees. He has provided framed 8xl1 prints with a portrait of Jimi Hendricks made in latte foam.

Claw Money

Known as Claw Money, her graffiti alter ego, Claudia Gold combines her eye for fashion with her edgy graffiti style. If you’re in New York between mid-November and February, you can see her artwork proudly painted on the doors of Andaz 5th Avenue. Through the bazaar, she will be offering colorful, framed screen prints, as well as an Andaz-inspired tote bag, all featuring her signature claw icon.

Carter Kustera

Carter Kustera has shown in numerous galleries and museums nationally and internationally and was included in two Venice Biennales. Each work provided for the bazaar is based on African barbershop haircut signs, and Kustera puts his stamp on the signs by using the hairstyles of pop cultural icons.

Jason Laurits

Jason Laurits is a designer and the founder of graphic and silk-screening company, Paste. His approach to Paste has long been influenced by the trial and error that comes with silk-screening. Jason is offering his black and white poodle adorned rocks glasses that are sure to liven up one’s holiday entertaining.

Enjoy Ugly Sweater Season w/ Target’s #HilariousHoliday Offerings

This post is brought to you by Target, but all opinions and content are my own. Check in with Target’s Ugly Sweaters with hashtag #hilariousholiday. The holiday season is officially upon us and it’s time again for all the holiday parties and celebrations. No other holiday party celebrates the fun and festive mood of the season like the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. This sarcastic trend was birthed sometime in the early 2000’s with a steady growth every year with numerous brands coming out with their own. The ugly sweater can now be called a Christmas tradition and a great way to have a #hilariousholiday. Joining with their own line of cool, kitschy, and fun ugly sweaters is Target, whose sweater collection I’d wear beyond any Ugly sweater parties (I love their modern cool update). Are you ready for Target’s #HilariousHoliday?

The above Men’s Skull Sweater is my favorite. It kind of brings to mind a Hell’s Angel getting into the holiday spirit. I’d steal this from the man in my life on any day and the fact that it’s only $17.99, I just might get my own.

Know a guy that has a bit of a potty mouth or “I’m a man” personality (a la Andrew Dice Clay? – seriously can’t you picture him wearing this?) then the “Happy Elfin Holiday” sweater is perfect. I mean…the sweater says it all.

The beauty of the above “Light it up” sweater is that it works for both a nerdy dad or granddad who is serious when it comes to Christmas lights and decorations (a la Clark Griswald) and a young hipster son who may be a fan of……420…lol. Either way, whether they’re wearing any of these “ugly” sweaters, they’ll actually look cool, get lots of compliments and remain a topic of conversation.

One of my favorite Ugly Sweater parties was one I attended with Blackberry and hosted by Michael Strahan in December 2011. He wore a white ugly sweater similar to one Target has in their collection – also $17.99 (the only difference being Michael Strahan’s had snowmen and Target’s has cute kittens), and actually stayed (in that sweater) for the duration of the event.

Accessories We’re Loving – Jill Zarin Jewelry

Although she may no longer be on RHONY, Jill Zarin continues to make a bold statement…..with her stunning and enchanting jewelry collection. Launched with a limited edition of jewelry in February 2012 with partner, Glitterings, the Jill Zarin Jewelry Collection, exactly like the its namesake – bold, colorful, and definitely a topic of conversation, is now carried in department stores such as Lord & Taylor, BonTon, Macy’s, etc. The full collection features rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. We are in love with several of the modern pieces from her Downtown Heavy Metal (available Feb/Mar 2014) and Holiday Collections (available now), some of which are featured below:

Wearing any of these sophisticated pieces will have you be center of attention. We see lots of crystal detailing and hematite (in fact the entire Holiday Collection features these details), chic, edgy shapes, weighted and chunky pieces, smooth finishes, spikes and pointed edges. Enjoy a sneak peek of her Estate Blue Collection (available Mar/April 2014), which features a much lighter color palette (Zarin has stated that she always goes for blue and she has to have it in all her collections). We are particularly fond of the brilliant cuff.

So dear readers, what are your thoughts on the collections?
