Known for their premium, real wood smoked meat specialties, like their Turkey, Chicken and Beef Bacon, Godshall’s has been satisfying households since 1945. To keep up with our healthier routine, indulged in Godshall’s Quality Meats’ newly launched products: Artisan Butcher Turkey Breast, Uncured Turkey Bacon Crumblz, and Fully Cooked Uncured Turkey Bacon. All Godshall’s products were all natural and flavorful. The Fully Cooked Uncured Turkey Bacon boasts the same real meat, real wood Smoked Turkey Bacon taste, with No Nitrates or Nitrites! The Uncured Turkey Bacon Crumblz was a revelation on salads, pizzas, in our soups, and of course, it was perfect with the NestFresh Eggs.

Although the above was a simple dish, every bite was a delight and met all our expectations of a healthy, hearty meal. IHOP Premieres French Toasted Donuts for a Limited Time

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. At IHOP, it can also be the most delicious. IHOP continues to break the rules of breakfast with three distinctive dishes hot off the test kitchen griddles. Elevating the breakfast treat that is french toast by combining it with donuts, IHOP is taking breakfast to another level of delicious. The IHOP French Toasted Donuts feature classic donuts dipped in sweet vanilla batter and then French toasted. The new lineup is available in three decadent, mouthwatering flavors ranging from savory to sweet.

Apple Fritter French Toasted Donut

The Apple Fritter French Toasted Donut is a warm apple fritter dipped in vanilla French toast batter, griddled, then topped with sweet cinnamon apples, powdered sugar and whipped topping.

We had the pleasure of getting an exclusive first taste of all three of these decadent breakfast donuts at an event with Chef Nevielle Panthaky, VP of Culinary at IHOP. It was an evening of ultimate decadence as we satisfied our almost insatiable appetite for these sinful breakfast treats. We also had the opportunity to recreate or create our own French Toasted Donut, thanks to the wide variety of available toppings made available to us.

The French Toasted Donuts are available from July 31st through September 24th at participating IHOP restaurants nationwide. The new menu items can be enjoyed on their own or as part of a combo meal with the choice of eggs, bacon, sausage or ham, and more.

Pereg Natural Foods Debuts New Super Foods and Ancient Grains

Attending the Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC has always been an amazing and informative experience. We’re always introduced to new, innovative foods and food products, or rediscover healthy ingredients that have been around for centuries. Take for example the recent launches from Pereg Natural Foods, producers of all-natural products that includes ancient grains and ancient grain blends, gluten free pasta, couscous, rice, gluten-free cereal and much more. Baby Quinoa


Dark reddish-brown in color and about half the size of a tiny quinoa seed, kañiwa cooks up quickly to resemble a smaller version of red quinoa. Unlike regular quinoa, kañiwa doesn’t have saponins, the coating that gives quinoa a somewhat soapy, slightly bitter flavor if not rinsed properly. Kañiwa is actually easier to process due to the absence of saponins. (Note that all quinoa from Pereg is pre-rinsed and ready to cook from the package.) Another advantage kañiwa has over quinoa is that it’s an even better source of iron. Kañiwa is also an excellent source of complete protein and amino acids and is gluten-free. Freekeh Grain


Pereg’s Freekeh is available in green roasted, ginger sesame and vegetable flavor blends. Freekeh is young, green wheat that is roasted over an open flame to give this grain a delicious slightly smoky flavor and chewy texture similar to bulgur. Freekeh is lower in fat than brown rice, higher in fiber than quinoa or brown rice, also a great source of calcium. Teff Porridges

Grand Opening: Dr. Smood Opens Location in NY’s NoMad Neighborhood

We have every intention of celebrating the upcoming International Margarita Day by drinking a round or two of delicious Margaritas but believe it or not, there are more ways to enjoying a margarita than just drinking one…….how about eating one. In celebration of International Margarita Day, February 22nd, Patrón Tequila has released the first-ever edible margarita pizza entitled the Platinum Margarita Margherita Pizza. Alcohol-infused food is not new, we personally grew up on the alcohol-soaked black cake, but we’re seeing this food trend making a big resurgence in culinary markets we hadn’t before. Just last year we enjoyed Patrón Tequila-infused ice cream and popsicles at their National Tequila Day event.

Here’s what you need to know about this mindblowing and one-of-a-kind pizza:

This amazing bit of delicious food art is inspired by the signature Patrón margarita and was customized by Chef Michael Armstrong of upscale Mexican hotspot, Bodega Negra, located inside the trendy Dream Downtown Hotel. The $500.00 Platinum Margarita Margherita Pizza is infused with Gran Patrón Platinum tequila (retail value, $200.00) and Patrón Burdeos (retail value, $500.00).  The colorful pizza pie boasts layers of the most insane, over-the-top toppings, such as Osetra caviar, black truffles, tomato, avocado, glazed lobster, and mango, both cooked in Patrón Burdeos, pickled onions, and crema-infused with Platinum Patrón. All perfectly layered on top of a thin, flour tortilla crust.

They say good things come to those who wait and anything good is worth waiting for, which is good because the Platinum Margarita Margherita Pizza takes 45 minutes to create,  and it must be ordered two days in advance.
