Katie Holmes & Kohl’s Pink Elephant Campaign

While we provide lots of coverage of Breast Cancer Awareness products during October, we understand the fight continues the other eleven months out of the year and needs continuous support; this is why we love that Katie Holmes has teamed up with Kohl’s to encourage women to start the conversation about Breast Cancer. In an effort to confront the “pink elephant in the room”, Kohl’s is featuring a special, limited edition pink elephant necklace (available in two sizes)  from the LC Lauren Conrad collection. Katie Holmes, seen below rocking the Kohl’s Pink Elephant Necklace, was out and about promoting the amazing Kohl’s Pink Elephant Campaign.

“Breast cancer is like a pink elephant in the room that women don’t really want to think about, but know they should,” said Katie Holmes. “Women have so much going on in their day-to-day lives, it can be easy to ignore their own needs, like scheduling a mammogram or routine screening. I’m honored to team up with Kohl’s to remind women of the importance of having a conversation about breast health right now.”

100% of the proceeds from the sale of these special necklaces (started Wednesday, February 19th), goes towards the fight against breast cancer through Kohl’s Cares, the company’s philanthropic platform. Priced at only $5.00 and $8.00 each, the two necklaces will be available while supplies last for a limited time in stores and online. From Tuesday, February 18th through Saturday, March 8th, Kohl’s will also donate $1.00 to Susan G. Komen for every pink Kohl’s Cash coupon redeemed, a minimum of $100,000 up to $1 million.

Veronica Brett Luxury Swimwear

There are some companies that just gets it when it comes to dressing a woman, they thrive by the rule that a woman always wants to look and feel like a woman. One such company is Veronica Brett Swimwear, makers of some very beautiful and extra special swimwear. What makes this company’s swim collection so extra special? This luxury collection of swimwear is fashioned especially for breast cancer survivors and women who have had risk-reducing surgeries like a mastectomy.

I know you’re looking at the above three styles and thinking there is no way these are mastectomy swimwear, that’s they’re too beautiful and they look like regular swimsuits. That’s the beauty of the Veronica Brett Swim Collection. Their suits have been designed to accentuate all of a woman’s beautiful features while solving some of the issues that come about as a result of breast surgery. Each style is pocketed on both sides and is also ideal for women who may be naturally asymmetrical. Veronica Brett Swimsuits are made in the USA from the finest Italian swim fabrics (80% polyamide, 20% elastane) and are fully lined (90% polyamide, 10% elastane).

Founded by Patricia Brett, whose family is predispose to breast and ovarian cancer and has seen several family members diagnosed, the birth of Veronica Brett Swimwear started with a swimsuit made for her sister, who fell in love with it and proclaimed she’s never felt sexier in her life. So if you know a woman who’s undergone breast cancer surgery and it not feeling sexy or you want her to feel like a woman again, you should definitely look into Veronica Brett Swimwear. Designer and owner, Patricia Brett will be showcasing new styles for Spring 2012 that I will happily feature during Breast Cancer Month.

Win Promise Me – A New Fragrance Benefitting Susan G Komen for the Cure

I love when beauty gives back, sometimes the world is so negative that we forget the positive. I’ve stated a few times that my cousin is a Breast Cancer survivor and I try to help support the fight against the disease whenever and however I can, so when I received an invitation to the launch of Promise Me, the new fragrance from TPR Holdings, Inc. benefiting the Susan G Komen For the Cure organization, I made it a point to attend. We all know at least one person who has been affected or has a friend/family member who have been affected by Breast Cancer. This fight is a continuous one until there is a cure. I applaud companies like TPR Holdings for doing all they can to help win the war against Breast Cancer and they are doing it in a most sensory uplifting way. Promise Me – inspired by Nancy G. Brinker’s promise to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, is a “beautiful tribute to the bravery of each and every person who has been touched by this disease”

Developed by Drom Fragrances and famed perfumer, Jean Claude Delville (who I had a chance to interview on the fragrance notes, etc), Promise Me, speaks to strong, courageous women (like my cousin) who live life to the fullest. The fragrance’s notes are sophisticated, fresh, sweet and feminine but I’ll let Monsieur Delville tell you himself

Each Promise Me fragrance comes with educational messages from the Susan G. Komen organization and the contribution each purchase makes to the organization (a whopping 13.5% from each sale goes to Susan G. Komen For the Cure – that’s amazing) as well as a Limited Edition Scented Promise Me Bracelet. Even more amazing is the fact that TPR Holdings has committed to donate a minimum of $1,000,000 to Komen for breast cancer research, education, screenings and treatment.

The Promise Me 100ml Eau de Parfum will retail for $59.00 and will be available at Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor, Boscov’s, Sephora in JC Penney and HSN.com. the 100ml Eau de Toilette will retail for $29.99 and will be available online at http://www.promisemefragrance.com/. The 30ml Eau de Toilette will retail for $19.99 and will also be available at http://www.promisemefragrance.com/.

I was very lucky to receive the fragrance and the wonderful book Nancy G. Brinker wrote honoring her sister and I am gifting one lucky reader the entire giftbag (see full contents shown below) which includes Promise Me 100ml Eau de Parfum, Promise Me Book, Promise Me Limited Edition Scented Bracelet, Promise Me Bookmark and Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Pin

Revolution Tea – Premium Tea Company

I love tea, everyone knows this, I grew up drinking tea so I love discovering new brands or just brands I haven’t discovered yet. And this is exactly what happened at the Consumer Products Event’s Breast Cancer Pink Products. I discovered Revolution Tea. Revolution Tea is a high quality tea company that are “blends of premium full-leaf green tea, black tea, certified organic tea, white tea, red (herbal), peppermint (herbal), chamomile (herbal), aromatic fruits, spices and herbs. Our innovative and convenient Infuser, Teapot Infuser and Biodegradable Pyramid bags complete the experience steeping the finest cup or pot of tea”. Unlike regular tea bags, Revolution Tea uses premium full tea leaves which are housed in an innovative Revolution Flow-Thru Infuser; so instead of tea dust (that disgusting thing floating at the bottom of your cup) from paper tea bags that rip easily, you get nothing but richness and smoothness of the tea and nothing else.

We got to take individual samples home, I chose the Earl Grey Lavender Tea and the Orange Chocolate Green Tea. Oh my god – angles sang, my tongue was alive, my body tingled all over when I tried the Orange Chocolate Green Tea. I know what you’re thinking chocolate and green tea? Yes darlings the combination of the two with orange is spectacular – add a little milk and wow!!! If you like Chai tea, then you will absolutely love this. It is dessert and tea all in one without the guilt

The Earl Grey Lavender Tea is calming in more ways than one. While enjoying the full-bodied flavor of Earl Grey’s black tea blends, you also enjoy the aromatherapeutic fragrance of blue lavender. It is the perfect tea to relax and put you at ease and get you ready for your workday without putting you to sleep.

I encourage you to try Revolution Tea; there are several locations in New York to purchase Revolution Tea such as Fairway, Manhattan Fruit Exchange, Really Cool Foods, Whole Foods, etc. You can also check Retail Locations for stores in your state, city or neighborhood or just buy it online at RevolutionTea.com
