Spring Forward: TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection

Ladies, are you ready for an influx of more international luxury? Today we present a luxury Chinese Designer showcasing her beautiful women’s collection in the U.S for the first time. The first day of the spring season is a mere six weeks away and we cannot wait, especially when we get to look forward to the TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection from luxury Chinese Designer and chief creative director Emerald Chen.

Emerald Chen’s TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection is one of five Chinese designers showcasing their luxury lines for the first time in the U.S via the Bandladies Showroom. Each luxury line is designed by strong, female entrepreneurs, all hoping to bring a surge of influence and empowerment into the fashion industry with their emergence into American Markets. Emerald Chen is definitely bringing her mastery of fashion with her design aesthetic.

The TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection doesn’t only pay attention to the external of the urban women, but also their inner side. The TTT woman upholds the mission of letting each independent woman find the balance of inside and outside creating fashion behaviors and urban humane landscape. We love the effortless and classic styling, clean lines, and subtle but noted details of this sophisticated collection. Another aspect we love about the TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection, is the look of perpetual movement each piece has. Complimenting the female body, it’s natural movement and curves, thanks to the collection’s slight sculptural elements.

The color palette of the collection is a feminine range of dusty rose, off-white, and black which perfectly captures the duality of women – demure and brazen. We look forward to seeing more women’s fashion from Emerald Chen and what more she can bring to the American luxury market.

What are your thoughts on the TTT Spring-Summer 2018 Collection? Are you hoping to see more of her effortless and sophisticated women’swear designs?

NYFW the Shows: Nicholas K Spring 2017 Collection

Forget survival of the fittest, it was survival of the most fashionable at the Nicholas K Spring 2017 Show during NYFW the Shows. Inspired by the Middle East desert-based 2015 movie Theeb, the Nicholas K Spring 2017 Collection captivated its audience with a collection and color palette that perfectly captured the stunning cinematography of the adventurous film.

The collection, titled “Wadi Rum”, so named for the valley that cuts into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan and  the route of the movie’s characters, pays tribute to the untouched and steadfast location, also known as The Valley of the Moon.*Some of you may recognize this famed location in other movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Red Planet, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Prometheus, and most recently, The Martian. The valley’s sustainability is the source of inspiration and design for the brother-sister design duo behind the chic women’s fashion label. The Nicholas K Spring 2017 Collection boasts artisan woven fabrics, organic cotton, vegetable-dyed leather, and alpaca construct layered pieces that shape and manipulate the proportions of varied silhouettes.

Varied shades of nudes, with a pop of silver here and there, permeated the Nicholas K Spring 2017 Collection. Everything from the dusty color palette to the oversized desert hats, and Military-inspired, tactical waist packs, added to the adventurous allure of the stunning collection. With the way the heat and humidity have been treating us, the looks from the Nicholas K Spring 2017 Collection would be worn quite comfortably in today’s scorching temperatures (hello see now, buy now fashionistas). We loved every single piece and it’s no question, the items will fly off store hangers as soon as they are placed on the racks. Bravo to brother and sister team, Nicholas and Christopher Kunz, the collection is gorgeous and we can’t help but wonder if somewhere, Kanye West is thinking “so that’s how you do fashion”. Hungry for more? See the models walk the show’s finale in the video below:

Love the collection as much as we do? Tell us your thoughts? What are your favorite looks?

Piazza Sempione Fall 2011 Collection

I love being introduced to new brands – I firmly believe in seeing different points of view which is why I love to travel. I had the pleasure of getting the Fall 2011 point of view of Piazza Sempione who presented Back Home: A Tale of Beauty and Poetry, a collection inspired by idea of rediscovering lost beauty such as a decadent abandoned mansion. The fall 2011 collection features a mix of diverse elements and Exposed seams and raw edges revert to the theme of decay, while also underscoring the casual approach to complex workmanship materials that have been re-assembled in a freshly urban, modern style.

The collection’s relaxed quality is typified by clothes that envelop the body with ease. A dress has a built-in scarf while fringed merino wool cardigans or vests wrap around the body. Layering is an important component, as seen on sliced wool cashmere coats, vests worn over jackets or a fil coupe ( a scratchy appearance like a worn divan) long sleeve jersey T built into a bustier dress.

Piazza Sempione delivers impeccably crafted clothing. These are items that can be added or subtracted naturally from one’s wardrobe and that a woman can make all her own.
