Loads of Fun | SWASH™, the 10-Minute Clothing Care System

Honestly, the title should really be loads of cool because this innovative device is amazingly cool. There’s huge news in laundry care from P&G and Whirlpool. The two leading laundry care corporations launched a revolutionary, at-home clothing care called the http://fitkatbykatrinabowden.com/?ka=kaletra-indication SWASH™. The SWASH™ System is a revolutionary at-home clothing care system that reduces wrinkles, refreshes fabric, restores the fit lost after wear and preserves clothing, in just ten minutes with the push of a button. Slim enough to fit into any living spaces, the http://restivos.com/?kaletra=kaletra-covid-19 SWASH™ Clothing Care System completely cleans and dries your clothes in 10 minutes and reduces or eliminates the need for ironing, allowing you to save on dry cleaning and preserve the original color and fabric of your clothes. In other words, say good to your dry cleaning bill.

The SWASH System gently holds your clothes in place while a uniquely designed cleaning solution from the generic kaletra online store SWASH PODS cup is used through an advanced spray technology. Next, a rapid thermal drying function combines and recirculates an express heat system with airflow to dry your clothes quickly.

Unlike washing machines, the SWASH system plugs directly into a standard 120-volt wall outlet and requires no water, alleviating the need for plumbing or professional installations. The beauty of SWASH is that can be used on a variety of fabrics including denim, wool, polyester, Lycra, cotton, cashmere, sequins, delicate beading and lace. To prove the power of this innovative home device, P&G and Whirlpool collaborated with famed Hollywood stylist Kate Young (pictured below with Lauren Scruggs and Jason Kennedy), to get the word out on SWASH.

The SWASH system, which comes in Shadow (black) and Linen (white) and will retail for $499.00, initially launched exclusively at Bloomingdale’s stores and on Bloomingdales.com and will be featured at select Delta Sky Club lounges with availability for sale nationwide at Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond starting this month. The SWASH PODS cups, which are available in three scents – Kaletra Without Prescriptions Awaken, Recharge and Unwind – will retail for $6.99 for 12 cups.

Give a Child the Gift of Health w/ Walgreens’ #GetAShot, Give a Shot Campaign

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GetAShot #CollectiveBias

We are always highlighting a good cause, especially when you can help someone by doing something you’d normally do anyway. We love to celebrate charitable efforts like shop for a cause, tweet for a cause, etc, which is why we’re highlighting Walgreen’s #GetAShot, Give a Shot Campaign. It’s getting to be the time of seasonal flu and time to get yourself and your family immunization shots. The great part of this campaign is that for every flu shot or any other immunization you get at Walgreens, they will help provide a lifesaving vaccine to a child in a developing country through the UN Foundation’s Shot@Life program. It’s hard to believe that not every child has access to medicine for preventable diseases but that my dear readers is a harsh reality. While diseases like whooping cough, measles, and meningitis are curable with a short walk to your neighborhood Walgreens for a shot, it is not so easy for families in developing countries.

Did you know that 1 in 5 children around the world still have no access to the lifesaving vaccines? That two of the most common causes of child death are the very treatable pneumonia and diarrhea? That 1.5 million children die every year from vaccine-preventable diseases? That’s one child dying every 20 seconds. No family should go through the heartache of losing a child, especially when it’s because of something that is preventable with an immunization shot.

With over 8,215 drugstore locations nationwide, Walgreens is not only the most convenient location to receive these lifesaving vaccines for you and your family, it is also the most philanthropic. Your immunization can help this very charitable campaign to reach its goal of providing up to 3 million vaccines to kids that need it most. Walgreens offers vaccines for several of the most well-known preventative diseases with no appointment necessary and provides you with all the information you need to stay healthy.

So while you’re picking up your essentials at Walgreens, make a pledge to get your flu shot at their Immunization Center and help provide the gift of health and possibly life to child.

Zipz Premium Single Serve Wines | You Can Take it With You

Have you ever attended an event or party where the only alcohol they’re serving is exactly what you don’t drink? As Bloggers, we get invited to many things but a lot of the time it’s an alcohol-sponsored event, and if you’re like us, you do not like beer, whiskey, or gin. As lovers of wine, we were super excited to find out that something as wonderful as Zipz Wines exists. Zipz Premium Single Serve Wines are amazing, premium, single-serve wines that you can enjoy indoors, outdoors and on the go, thanks to its innovative and non-traditional packaging.Zipz_AllVarietals

Zipz Wines is available in four varieties, a 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Chardonnay, 2012 Pinot Grigio, and a 2011 Merlot, all of which come individually wrapped and covered in a patented Clean Wrap™ that keeps the wine fresh and the glass clean, making Zipz perfect for enjoyment anywhere.

You may be thinking, “but what about the taste?” well, all four wines are absolutely delicious. The Chardonnay has aromas of tropical fruit with notes of cinnamon, vanilla bean, lemon grass with hints of hazelnut and cloves. This medium weight white wine boasts crisp citrus, melon, pear and crème Fraiche flavors. The Cabernet Sauvignon delivers varying aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis and vanilla with various layers of spice and a hint of herbs. A multi-layered, medium-bodied wine that boasts textures of ripe blackberry, mocha, toffee, and vanilla. The deep, rich, ruby-colored Merlot features warm cherry aromas, accented with notes of mocha, red licorice, sage and toffee with flavors of black cherries and plums that are balanced with caramel and toffee from the oak. Last but certainly not least, the clean and crisp Pinot Grigio gets a bit tropical with both aroma and flavor.Notes of mango, pear, orange spice, lemongrass, and pineapple perfectly compliment the  flavors of tropical fruit, apples, pears, and a nice orange citrus note that is balanced with minerality and a wonderful round finish.

How portable are Zipz Wines and where did they go with us? We took it to our front porch, the racetrack, and a friend’s house, traveling with ease in our handbag with no fear of spillage. Another key note is you can securely reseal your Zipz wine to save it for later without spilling a drop or having your wine get stale. You can’t tilt a half full, regular glass of wine without losing the contents.

Zipz Premium Single Serve Wines are currently available in several states or you can just buy it online at Zipz Wine or Amazon.com. A case of Zipz Wines comes with 12 glasses and retails for $39.99, that’s less than $3.50 a glass. That alone is a reason to raise a glass and toast to this innovation and non-traditional creation.

Get connected to your health goals & healthy choices w/ walgreens #balancerewards

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BalanceRewards #CollectiveBias

A few weeks ago, I noticed that my clothes were fitting a bit more snug than usual, as a blogger, it wasn’t hard to find the culprit of this weight gain. I sit for hours on end on a computer, and although I try to eat healthy snacks, I sometimes revert back to old habits. However, I am making some headway in being more active. With the help of my Jawbone Up fitness device, Walgreens’s healthy snack offerings, and their #BalanceRewards app, I am well on my way to getting back to making healthy choices and earning points to continue on a healthier wellness and lifestyle journey.

walgreens-get-connected-www-mylifeonandofftheguestlist-com<768x1024

Thanks to the healthy choices program located in the Walgreens #BalanceRewards app, I am able to connect and sync my fitness device, mine being my Jawbone Up Wearable Device, to the Walgreens app to better keep track of the following: what I eat, my calorie intake, how long I’m inactive, how many steps I’ve walked, other workout activities, my sleep patterns, and my favorite notification – a vibrating reminder to get up and move around if I’ve been idle for too long.

walgreens-jawbone-up-1024x355

Along with keeping active, I’ve been trying to eat healthy as well and Walgreens is a great resource for finding what you need to. As you can see in the photo at the beginning of this post, I’ve been keeping my energy up with almonds, hydrating with water, taking a daily gummy multivitamin for overall wellness and tracking my steps with my Jawbone.

Ever since I’ve started this regime, I find that I walk a lot more. I use my time between attending events to take advantage of walking the city. I’m very proud to say I have walked over 20 NYC blocks on several occasions, all for the chance to reach and/or surpass my daily goal of walking 10,000 steps. Some days I do get stuck behind the computer so I periodically get up to walk around the apt, go up and down the stairs, or do a little dance just to keep myself active, all while earning points towards my Walgreens Balance Rewards.

walgreens-br-app

Unfortunately I have only reached my goal of 10,000 steps (5 miles) once because this week has been what I like to call “the calm before the storm”, aka the week before NYFW, but so far I have earned 760 points and I know I will being earning much more towards my $5.00 reward.. I fully expect my step count to be triple next week, which means earning rewards faster. How much points you earn it completely up to you, all you have to do is be active, the more you walk, run, spin, etc, you more points you earn. What could be better than that?

Tips on How YOU Can Keep Your Style Fresh & Great #CarefreeChallenge Jewelry Giveaway

This post is sponsored by Carefree® #CarefreeChallenge, however all the opinions and musings are all my own.Fashion is an ever changing entity whose trends, innovations, and modifications we strive to follow. We buy and discard things when they go in and out of style without a thought….until we look at our bursting-at-our-seems closets and declare, “I have nothing to wear!” The truth is we’re just bored with whats in our closets and want new looks to revamp it. Thankfully there are things you can do to refresh your style and we’re sharing them today as part of the Carefree 30-Day Fresh Challenge, to help you return the “style spark” to your look. We hope that you’ve been enjoying and following all the great Carefree Challenge tips. We don’t want you to miss out on the great daily prizes or the $5,000 grand prize. So here goes:

Shop Your Closet

Edwin Remsberg-Photodisc-Getty Images

When was the last time you saw the back of your closet? You’d be surprised the hidden gems you’ve forgotten about that are just waiting to be paired with more recent purchases. Especially as some fashion trends tend to repeat every few years. So dig in, don’t be afraid to be creative – give that old t-shirt some new life by pairing it with layered necklaces and slacks, rock that cool scarf as a belt, wear a long necklace as a bracelet, or layer your leather jacket over those old blazers you think are outdated; the possibilities are endless once you open those closet doors.

Shop Vintage and Thrift Shops

If your closet is bare and your budget is limited, try Thrifting. These money-saving shops are treasure troves of fashion goodness. One of my favorite times to thrift is during the yearly Buffalo Exchange Earth Day Sale. The sale raises money for charity (so it’s for a good cause), is held at every Buffalo Exchange location nationwide, and everything is only $1, that’s right $1. Available items for sale includes designer labels and ranges in everything from clothing to shoes to accessories. I’ve scored lots of designer labels from the sale, like Betsey Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Rachel Palley (see next tip), Versace, etc.

Re-purpose Your Shoes and Handbags

Give your shoes and handbags some new life with some new color. It works for cars, so why not your small leather goods and accessories. I recently gave the Rachel Palley shoes I got at the $1 Buffalo Exchange sale (see above) a new hue (I wanted to color them a neutral grey-taupe hue for fall) with a leather color dye kit. I chose and used Tarrago Color Dye Kit for Leather for their vast color assortment (they have more than 80 creme and metallic colors) and kit supplies, plus it works on leather, synthetic leather, and canvas goods. That small box you see has everything you need to change the color or restore your items.

DIY

If you’ve ever linked paperclips together to create a necklace, you can DIY jewelry. However, if you’ve never done it before and want to ease your way into it, there are amazing companies that help you get started by supplying you with everything you need to create great accessories. We love the boxes from Darby Smart, Whimsey Box, and Brit + Co for their great fashion and accessory kits. Whether you want to create new fashion or accessory looks or just want to spice up an item you haven’t worn in years, put those arts and crafts skills to work.

Forget the Rules

Remember the old adage about taking one thing off before you leave the house? Forget it, embrace and show off your personality with your style. If that means piling on the necklaces, scarves or bracelets, wearing mismatched prints together, or…egad….wearing white after Labor Day – just do it! Rule breakers usually end up being trendsetters, so don’t limit yourself, experiment with your style and if it works for you, then it works.

Stay Fresh All Day

Don’t forget to stay fresh all day with a Carefree Acti-fresh pantyliner. Be confident in knowing that these thinner, more absorbent liners lock away fluids and move with you as you go about your day. We always love to save, so don’t miss the chance to save $1.50 on your purchase with this Carefree Coupon.

Don’t forget you only have until Sept. 10th, 2014 to win a grand prize of $5,000 to renew and refresh your wardrobe. You can also enter to win today’s prize of a $100 gift card towards some great Jewelry. While we hope you enjoy and implement some or all of our tips, we’d love to hear some of yours. What are some of your favorite ways to refresh your style?

Love, Sweat, and Gears | BFX Studio’s Ride Republic Spin Class

We are the first to admit we can sometimes get lazy and compliant when it comes to working out. This is mostly due to the fact that we sit in-front of a computer for hours on end without much movement, except when it comes to reaching for a snack. We’ve gotten to the level of forcing ourselves up from the couch, desk, park bench, etc just to show our bodies that we’re not petrified objects, so when we get an opportunity to get active, we try to take advantage….because it’s something that is desperately needed. That is why we were ecstatic to receive an invitation to check out the BFX Studio in Chelsea (more locations are coming soon). We loved spinning but hadn’t participated in a few years……today we tested our endurance.

We had a choice between the following classes: BFX Build (Eli Ingram and Amanda Butler), Classic Ride (Josh Taylor), BFX Barre (Michelle Demus and Colin Turek), and Fusion Ride (Juan Hidalgo), but because we haven’t worked out in quite a while, we decided to start with an easier class…..or so we thought. Securing a position and an in-breed Spinner® Blade Ion bike for the Classic Ride with Josh Taylor, we were mentally ready for the high-energy spin class…..physically ready was a different story.

The classicRIDE is spinning as it was meant to be – high-energy, motivational instructor, great music, and a heart-pounding experience. We recommend first-time spinners, and those who haven’t attended spin classes in a while (like we haven’t) begin with this one. For those of you who are more advanced than we are or prefer something more challenging, we present the following:

ultraRIDE – more enhanced than the classicRIDE, ultraRIDE offers extreme physical challenges on the bike with a rotating theme. No fear of stagnation in this 45 min class

epicRIDE – love spinning to specific themes and music? Then the epicRIDE spin classes are for you. Every class has a visually and musically supported theme and can go on for 1-2 hours. Epic indeed!

FUSIONRIDE – if you want to experience a workout both on and off the bike, this two-part spin class is right up your alley. Get ready to spend part of the class riding, and the other part off the bike, in athletic conditioning and functional training. The result is a high-cardio burn that will maximize your agility, stamina, power, and core strength. Fusion offers three ride/training Time option: 30 min/30 min, 45 min/15 min, and 45 min/45 min.

The class was intense and we loved it…..even while thinking we were going to pass out. Our hearts were pounding, our energy was up, and we burned lots of calories. What more could you ask for, except for a refreshing drink, which we enjoyed post workout at the launch festivities which also included personalized mini training sessions, spa treatments courtesy of Mio, Sakara treats, and BFX Studio’s state of the art Fit3D body scan.

BFX Studio has a t-shirt that says pretty hurts, it really does but it hurts so good. We invite anyone who wants to add spinning to their fitness regime to check out BFX Studio, located at 555 Sixth Avenue (between 15th and 16th St) in NYC. We kinda want to work there now.
